Redcar v Leicester Semi final

Ridiculous! Where's the sense of prioritisation over any other planned fixture? - probably all simply to allow Scottie to show off another shirt this Saturday night!

This was the earliest possible date. They can’t run this week because the National League team have their play off Semi Final & Cup Semi Final

Have to disagree Lenny, so there was no possibility of, as example, a double header? No disrespect intended to the NL team, but in priority terms surely the Championship play-off has to take priority.

The Cubs already have a double header on Saturday and then some of them including Lions Perks are involved in the NL Riders Championship on Sunday. Some of the Lions are also involved in the PL playoffs next week.

With respect, that double header (or at least one half of it) should have been pushed back to allow the higher priority (sorry, but it is the case) Championship play-off to take place; alternatively why couldn't one or the other be staged mid week (I'm sure Leicester have staged a few mid week meetings this season) just as Glasgow had to last night?

Team news confirmed here. Lawson for Toft,  Howarth for Worrall.

The back straight will be open for additional spectator space for the next 2 meetings - only other time was for the Fours last year and it give an excellent view of the racing.

Both Cubs meetings have already been abandoned once, one is a cup S/F the other a play-off S/F, so other clubs are waiting on the outcome of these matches so competitions can continue. Lions have run midweek  meetings but it has a big impact on the crowd & they will want a big crowd for the play-off S/F & will only get that on a Saturday.

And if the cubs reach the final of both competitions presumably they will again take priority over the Lions should the Lions make it to the championship final? Of course if the bears win that would make life a lot simpler, one can but hope.

Lawson certainly strengths the Bears, that is some trio. Lions will do well to keep it within 8-10 points.

I don't know MPT came into a good bit of form at the back end of the season,  my concern is Riss he seems to have lost a bit of his edge since he moved to 5 in the order

You have obviously not read about Leicester's attempts to run double headers this season?  :D It will probably be a miracle if the 2 Cubs matches are completed.

They have booked 2 ambulances & meeting starts at 5.30 , so hopefully should be ok this time. Fingers crossed.

If Lions win, the final will be the following weekend, Saturday 19th, I'd imagine. If Redcar win, the final will be the same friday / weekend so no difference really.

I was being sarcastic. The Lions should have been racing Redcar this Saturday and this would have meant the final would have been held 11th and 12th.
