Swindon used guests earlier in the season when Zach decided to quit Premier League.

He quit speedway altogether!  Not the same at all - as you know fine well.  The facility is for injury not that he has quit. He also wouldn’t be allowed to quit one league and continue in the other as he would get a 28 day ban

So it is prob a load of rubbish then! Makes no sense to me :)

Very routine win tonight against the patched up Lynn team. A few good heats with Cook charging but the result was never going to be in doubt.

Holder having one of his best meetings for Poole and Klindt having one of his best ever seasons. Nice to see THJ battling for a paid win in heat 14.

One ridiculous talking point. Cook got a flyer in heat 9 but the ref let it go. He won the heat from the tapes. After the race the ref gave Cook a warning for moving at the tapes! Crowd far from happy! Then Klindt did exactly the same in the next heat and the ref banged on the red lights and gave him a warning. Ref was Ronnie Allen.

So three easy points for Pirates. Should be a lot tougher on Monday.

THJ should have cleaned up tonight at reserve. Be interesting to see what “ringer” races on Monday for Poole.

It is either:

1..Steve has put it on here because he believes it is pretty accurate

Or

2. He thinks it is a load of rubbish but it will wind everyone up, mainly the Swindon lot so decided to post it anyway.

!!

:D:D

Definitely option 2;)

I remember a meeting at Boston early 1975 against league leaders Newcastle.  Led by the Owen boys, they were a formidable outfit.    Boston were doing Ok but were not of that standard.  The meeting was always close, one team leading then the other, never more than a few points in it.   It all boiled down to the final heat with Boston holding a 2 point lead,  Lee missed the start and forced out on the first bend.  Joe and Tom Owen were team riding keeping  Price  at bay.   Start of lap 3 Lee moves past Price into 3rd,  the crowd sensing something special was about to happen. Into the last lap Lee goes out wide on the 1st &2nd bends, down the back straight he uses all his speed to go round both the Newcastle riders to win  an unbelievable race.

And to think this was only his 3 competitive meeting, at an age of 16 yrs  3 months.   Truly amazing talent for someone so young...

One of the most naturally talented riders that I have had the privilege to see.

Well I have just returned home and have to say what a let down that was as upon arriving I find out that Robert Lambert isn’t here. For the paying punter it sucks and really is a kick in the teeth for British speedway. Fair play to young Chad he looked eager to please and gave it his all but the whole episode just puts a dark cloud over proceedings. I like my team to win but this spoilt what could have been an entertaining meeting. Oh well onto monday

Be interesting to see if Wells damages his shoulder again at Armadale tomorrow;)

I expect he might, seen leaving Wimborne Rd earlier doing the 'steel shoe walk' but with no steel shoe in sight. ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
