Lefty
Apologies for late reply. I was going to type it all out but "Call Me Wolfie" on the Wolves - King's Lynn thread had done this precis (Hope its ok Wolfie?). Now resolved to be Tues 17 Sept. CVS made some comments in the programme regarding the Peterborough meeting. Buster rescheduled the meeting for the 19th without consulting Wolves. When CVS contacted Peterborough about it they were very apologetic about it and removed the date from the fixtures and we've heard nothing since. CVS has tried to talk to Peterborough about it he was told that fixtures need to be agreed by Buster. CVS has had no choice but to ask the BSPA MC to intervene. He said in all his time involved in speedway he has never known anything like it Edited September 3, 2019 by Lefty clarity

No. Peterborough announced a date without Wolves agreeing to it. There's a difference.

It is normal practice and in the rules that re-arranged fixtures be agreed by both clubs, not just arranged by the home promoter without consultation. Wolves suggested a couple of dates but Peterborough (Buster) offered only 1, which was 19th September. That date was totally unacceptable for various reasons. Firstly there would be very little time to promote a potential playoff fixture just 4 days after this pivotal meeting. Secondly, it just happens to be the cut off date for league meetings. What would happen in the case of a rain off when any re-arranged date would likely be after the playoffs and therefore pointless. It's also worthwhile pointing out that the the original fixture was cancelled at Peterboroughs request as they said they had too many meetings in a short space of time which was not viable, something which CVS understood and agreed to. You would have thought that in return for his co-operation he would have been treated a little better but that's not Busters way, it seems

'agreed' usually means both sides saying yes, which did'nt happen here.

hyderd
Wolves have hit a purple patch at the right time, still think Swindon will be crowned champs though.
