Plus think there were two riders for Austria( one Zorn) but two different federations listed. Zorn obviously with the Austrian one....the other for the French, was it? I did see Philip Lageder (Austria) listed as riding on a Swiss Licence. Could that be it? Edited January 6, 2020 by Conkers

DutchGrasstrack
Very strange selection of riders in O-vik now. Only a few riders are changed from Finland to Sweden. Lageder, Mayerbuchler, Pletschacher should be removed from the lineup and replaced by better riders. For example Ebner, Jell, Niedermaier. I can see some changes coming up in the coming days. DutchGrasstrack
Realy wondering about Shishegov as well. Kazakh federation nominated him for Sweden at first, but he's gone.

tomhaines
After a bit of expert knowledge on the SoN in Berlin - contemplating making the trip (first Ice Speedway!). Tickets likely to be available on the door or do these things sell out like some of the Speedway GPs? May end up being a last minute decision to go
Schwantz34
Tom, Berlin last year coincided with a stag weekend I was on. Didn't go on the Saturday but when the other guys went home on the Sunday morning I went to the afternoon ISG and although I already had my ticket there were plenty of folk buying tickets from the boots and plenty of space at turns 1 and 2/ the back straight. Don't buy anything for turns 3 or 4, you'll need binoculars. Inzell you'd have no chance of turning up and getting a brief and Heerenveen is pretty busy too although you might be able to pay at the gate

Buxton Tiger is the man to speak to if you message him as he has bought in advance for all three meetings and is quite an authority on it. One piece of advice - avoid Kurve 2 tickets, unless you like watching Speedway from the top of a hill behind a fence.

The problem is, outside Russia, opportunities are few and far between for the young riders, so I can see where their thinking is. Schaap has impressed me over the last couple of years, so I think he deserves a chance to impress. Ebner has been there or thereabouts for a few years, and the fact he has ridden in Russia this season, has made his profile that bit higher. Personally I think Jell should have been considered, and I hope the Germans will include him in the team at the SoN in Berlin. Obviously the FIM have had a tough choice in selecting the Permanent Wildcards, but they will have had their reasons for picking the two they did. Any bets on 'Smiler' Luca Bauer getting the Inzell WildCard?
