Belle Vue v King's Lynn 26/08/19

Recommended Posts

This could be a chance for the Stars to gain some away points.

With our engine room  now firing, we have a decent chance. It's a must if we want that 4th spot. We need to pick points up away and this looks to be our best chance.

If MPT, TJ and Erik can bag 25 points from their programmed rides, we will be in with a chance.

May well depend on how we replace Lambo, and if Max is fit to ride.

Pretty close either way I think.

I'd be happy with 44-46  and 3 points. Won't be greedy

Your thoughts on this one ….

Robert is due to see a specialist in Germany this week. So hopefully we should know a bit more by Thursday.

I have never been to NSS. But if what I've seen on TV is anything to go by, you should be in for a treat. Even better if the Stars can get the win ;)

I don't know about Porsing though. If like he says he is used to big open tracks, he might grab a few points if he has speed in his bikes..

This is an away win we have to get if we are to have any chance of the play-offs.Think we may also need a point at Wolves and Poole at the very least.Personally i think it's a step too far.

As far as this match is concerned i think 25pts from the programmed rides of the engine room is to much to ask.Only really Tofty has been half consistent away,TJ doesn't seem to do it away, and Riss has had some good scores but also some bad.

We need Cook and Lambert if fit to score 22-23 between them at least to have a slim chance imo.

We also need that luck that went Wolves way too. With Fricke just missing the two Lynn meetings,he can come back after those:P.And also Bjerre to be stuck in traffic once again only to get there when heat 15 is done.

I don't think i'm asking to much to go our way:D

I also think it's out of reach, if being realistic. Maybe 3 or so points short. But that large lady ain't singing yet.

As for 25 points from those 3. I admit it was optimistic. I was thinking we need that from them if Robert isn't riding, and we have a guest, not much to choose from and most don't seem to go to well for other teams.

But as you say, if Lambo is riding, and  if him and Cookie can bag 22-23 between then then i'd be happy with 20 from them 3. The 3 engine room boys seem to be hitting a bit of form. I know it's been at home, But the NSS is wide smooth track and our boys seem to have a bit of speed of late:t:

I’ve been many times, the wife is a Manc and we stay with her family up there often. I highly recommend you get up there one day if you can, amazing track.

Think this one hinges on Lambert and Fricke being fit.

If we still had Niels and Robert as heat leaders and MPT at reserve I would be much more confident of getting a point or two, but as it is,  we only have riders who do well at home, but don't travel too good. A fit Robert is a massive miss and whoever we use in that position will struggle to match his points.   I would expect Porsing to score more than he has of late with BV's vast open spaces..  He should be more at home with those tracks he rides abroad.

Ever the optimist,  I still cant see us keeping it close enough to be in with at shout at the business end of the meeting. Them big heats at the end are the ones that matter, but to expect the likes of Riss and Jorgensen to beat home specialists like Bjerre and Fricke is a big ask....

Lambert's riding this evening and fricke rides in the challenge (I think)

So both teams should be at full strength at 1-5 with a guest for both no7s

Wouldn’t be surprised if Lynn use Aarnio again.

I wouldnt be surprised that despite riding in the challenge at least one of the sides (perhaps both) require a facility for their No1.....

Massive meeting for both clubs. If the Aces lose that’s there top 4 aspirations as good as over and a win for the Stars could put them right into the thick of the mix.

With Fricke back it’s going to be a tough one for the Stars to get anything out of.
