Don’t be silly. The marshal would NEVER be instructed to stop a rider! A marshals job is to wave a red flag from the infield at all times. That’s it.

The Marshal was an out Of control fool.

At Poole the flag marshal stands in the middle of the track ten metres in front of the tapes with flag raised. Whilst away riders don helmets and sit on their bikes during parade, none have ever ridden off past the flag Marshall.

You can argue about it for pages ( and probably will). They got what they deserved and will think twice ( or maybe not cook as he has history for this). Before being dicks again

Absolutely agree.

A simple solution is that riders are not allowed to Don helmets or straddle a bike until all riders have been announced. Keep the bikes behind the riders and mechanics hold onto helmets until intros finished. Simple.

If that happened at all tracks there would have been no issue. But guess what? Some speedway clubs do what they want!

It should be the same criteria for all tracks and I hope this is addressed in the close season by the SCB.

You speak as though there is an accepted procedure at all tracks. You know that isn't the case. We've both seen everything from riders on a truck to riders being introduced onto track riding their bikes. However, I agree that whatever procedure is in place, it should be made clear. In this case it appears that some riders deliberately ignored the local standard and decided to sabotage the process.

Personally i think in Sport things like this will happen from time to time. Its called passion. But if people are trying to kid themselves that those involved in whatever Sport must behave like role models to watching kids(even though loads of parents do weed etc in front of said kids) then yeah the punishments are fair. Not too long.

Passion...... half way through a riders presentation???

if you get to that point before the other team has even been announced you need to either up your medication or find another career

Tbh jonny  I've often wondered if cook is in the right career

But a 29 second ban seems a little light in anyone's book.

All riders using the infinite improbability drive might increase costs a bit eh?

Have any of the riders been asked why they decided to have their practice starts before the parade was over ?

There was aggro before the parade over the track by all accounts so the action of the marshal and others just aggrievated the situation even more ....

Is that the 2 or 4 valve infinite improbability drive?

Hey I told you it might increase costs "a bit". I'm talking about the gold bar version. Rather appropriate as we're playing the Aussies for the ashes.

Particle deflector fitted for extra speed.
