Cook, Vissing and Kennett banned.

If a punishment has to be dealt out, make the guilty ride in the next x number of matches so as not to deprive the paying punter but the riders do not receive payment. The money they would have earned using an average is paid into the Ben Fund. If they decide that a way around this not to turn up then fine them a sum that is equal to the maximum they would earn if they had won all five rides and that money goes again into the Ben Fund.

That makes a lot of sense and stops all the panic going on at the moment with teams sourcing other riders at an important point in the season.  This in turn could pee off more fans and stop them attending meetings so doing damage to the sport, when numbers are dropping already.

Why should they ? If Messi gets a ban for violent conduct, Barca can't bring in Ronaldo as a guest.

That's totally irrelevant you know footballers can only play for one club.

Ed wasn't part of the original incident, instead he ran 30 yards towards it, then started scrapping. It was nowt to do with him. I can't see how Louis or anyone else can argue against his actions that lead to the ban.

ironically b/vue could suffer for this ? in what was a difficult match against swindon a must win for both teams vissing was a poor reserve for them at NSS but now they can get a decent guest who likes the track ?? only in british speedway eh :nono:

That’s just bad luck though, could easily have worked the other way in that Vissing could have been a track specialist who Swindon would struggle to replace. Has very little to do with Swindon (or Lynn with Cook) so a facility has to be granted, don’t see the alternative.

The regulations are clear that a facility is available - Art16.5.1.i

Cook

Vissing

Kennet

They should all receive a ban for their championship club only, if they are banned from riding for their premiership club then might as well bang that final nail in the coffin of this absolute ridiculous sport

Perhaps doubling up is the real problem, not the ban. What do you think?

Cook just idling back to the pits, after the wind ups. Flag man walks in front of his bike - receives a shoulder barge. Should have have been the end of it, both in the wrong. Until Dugard’s get involved, not unusual.

Very tame compared to a blind vicious assault.

I dont see he has a leg to stand on even though he will see it as defending a family member being attacked

Agree. And Dugard was banned from the rest of that meeting only and fined £250. And it was live on TV.

Suspending these riders only causes more problems than are solved. Fines have to be the right way of dealing with it, together with appropriate levels of punishment for their clubs. To begin with, fine the riders their earnings from that match, then a percentage from a set number of matches from now onwards.

Can’t recall, or find what the ban was - however, I remember the incident well.

Apologies again for the other night. Was only interested in talking Speedway.
