Ellis won from it, Musielak won from it, Perks scored a point from it. If the Swindon team manager hasn't figured that out he is an idiot. He needed 3 points to get a losers bonus point, so take the best gate and put your best rider on it. Swindon got a 5-1. That gets them nothing more than a 3-3 would. They had the best two riders at the meeting. The only way they could have scored less than 3 barring a mechanical disaster was to hand Poole the best gate. Poole needed to put their only rider capable of out pacing Batchelor & Doyle on it, in Kurtz & hope Holder can sneak past either Robin as they queued behind Kurtz. Utter ineptitude all around. Heat 15 didn't matter to Poole, let them enjoy a 5-1 makes no difference. Doyle would have won from any gate.

SteveLyric2
So it was a good tense meeting last night with a much better attendance and atmosphere than of late. I've now also watched the BT version which does give a slightly different perspective compared to actually being there. As much as many are saying it was Poole's reserves v Swindon's top 2, I think the other factor was the number of last places - Swindon 9 Poole 6 (with 2 of those coming from Klindt's worst performance so far!!). Middlo's strategy was to fill the minor places and let Doyley (and Batch) do their thing and it just about worked. Kurtz was struggling with bike issues all night and Jensen was clearly suffering with his wrist injury from the previous night's Championship action. Should make for an interesting third meeting on Thursday. As for the track there was some 'rippling' going into the first bend but for Doyley to state on camera that the track was awesome and well prepared and allowed for great racing was good to hear - something that Tatum also alluded to in his pre-racing track report. Well done to both teams - hope its the final. Edited August 20, 2019 by Skidder1

Apart from H13 but he tried everything to get past so can't fault him for that. I don't really watch the GPs anymore so Cook is welcome to them!
Odds On
Last night was a classic example of why speedway is in the mess it finds itself in this Country.. Track was poor, bumpy and little or no passes. How many Brits on show? Two hours of so called entertainment, literally ten minutes at max. a boring non eventful advert for British speedway. Track was a little bumpy but many are not just Poole. There were plenty of passes, I think you must have dozed off. 1

Bumpy in places yes but definitely not a boring meeting at all. I thought it was a good watch and I love a good Poole bash as much as the next person!

Klindt definitely moved which prompted Doyles movement, at the very least both riders should have been warned.

Aces51
I watched it today and thought it was an entertaining meeting. Not much passing after the first two bends but close racing and the close score made it enjoyable to watch.
