In that case i hope Robert lets everyone know the situation asap- at least so the 1st reserve(who is that ???) can prepare properly- or not prepare at all !!!

People with power know how to play the game...

Lambert on Facebook

"Just to keep you updated - I had a couple of practises this week. As I am still in some pain I wanted to know how I feel riding the bike. Tomorrow I’ll be back racing for my polish club Speedway Motor Lublin.
Of cause it means I’ll be racing in the SGP Challenge in Gorican on Saturday too.
Thank you to everyone for the messages while I was recovering. It means a lot and it is great to have such a great community behind me."

What are the odd’s for Lambert to retire mid-meeting tonight, withdraw hinself from Horican and Holder riding instead... Any takers?

Timo and Robert are team mates in lejonen. Thomsen could be in the same boat tonight. I think you know the answer ;)

The answer is that it’s a 21,5 hour drive from Tallinn EE to the track.

But then again... According to the rules Timo is only fourth reserve and the only reason we are having this discussion is because you posted the line-up and I found out about it. Then the Finnish team manager found out about it and then Timo found out about it...

Thats how CCP runs speedway.

It's a tricky one I suppose. I've been an advocate of not allowing the bottom 9-15 in the challenge before, but at the end of the day they probably are amongst the world's top riders. Just gets a bit tiresome watching Zagar, Iversen and Lindback have 1 good meeting in 5, with no genuine hope of ever becoming World Champion.

But on there day capable of winning a gp or at least making a final

You are not going to get 16 riders all capable of being world champion.............never had that under the old system.

There will always be also rans struggling............

Agree with you.  We have rarely seen 2 GP's won by the same rider over the last 2 seasons as it's so tough to win a GP..  The talent spread is large   But someone has to finish bottom.

I'd argue that's not the case, given that their 17 combined attempts this year have yielded one final place and even then it was a last place.

I think you'd struggle to find 15 riders capable of winning a world title, but I don't think it'd be beyond the realms of possibility to find 15 riders capable of winning a GP. Fricke, for example, is a point behind Zagar and four behind Iversen, despite having raced one less round. He's also had two double figure scores, so straight away he'd be an improvement.

Agree ,it’s hard to pick a race winner in the Heats this year never Mind the GP winner,There will always be good riders missing out but that’s how the World Champs has always been.

Oh dear... Running a meeting like this in dodgy conditions is the worst possible option as it almost guarantees someone unusual having a good night.

If its wet / greasy i would make Smoli one of the favourites. Not the best on show but a very adaptable rider who really knows his setups.
