Cook was in the wrong I'm afraid, the ref seemed to think so anyway if he put his red lights on. And what's this a few years ago when he nearly ran over the track doctor??! Yes I’ve seen some tracks do do this. Ipswich used to as well? Hopefully this incident will ensure NO track will have a marshal on track when bikes are on. Tell Cook he has to stay in pits whilst presentation is on, where he was going anyway, so sure he'll agree!

Doesn’t matter how long something has been done, if a flaw has been identified it needs actioning. It’s generally only when an incident happens that changes are made. No Marshal should be on any track when bikes are. It’s common sense.

Steve Shovlar
RR for Heeps on this occasion helps Ipswich at Poole where Heeps normally struggles. It means Kennett, KP and King can take his rides! We should still get the points but it will be much closer.

SteveLyric2
It could only be r/r for Heeps - he's a second string like Richie - and they are not running r/r for anyone else! Poole only had a guest for Richie when it was r/r for Brady.
Baldyman
Didn't you only entertain us meeting before last? Great variety in this top league.. Heeps has scored 3 twice at wr this season, so anything more would make us seem stronger. On a different note, KP has been pants since going to reserve, as expected, but ya never know, he does have the ability to jump out the start and be a roadblock, providing its not his first race

foreverblue
Ipswich are a very inconsistent team at the moment so could be close or easy win. Harris can be excellent, King an Lawson can be good at Poole too.
SteveLyric2
So on Thursday at Poole (weather permitting) the parade will consist of 12 stationary bikes being lined up on the track - Ippo infront of the startline and Poole behind the startline. Riders will stand behind their bikes on the centre green with their mechanics/helpers and be introduced and announced individually starting with the Ippo Number 7. There will be a track marshall - sometimes the deputy Clerk of the Course - displaying a red flag on the track between the start and the first bend to stop riders riding away too early. Yes thats on the track not on the centre green, just like it happens at many other tracks who have the parade in similar style. The way it should be at every track so unsavoury incidents like the stupid one at Eastbourne don’t occur. KISS - keep it simple stupid.
SteveLyric2
I have every faith in SCB Co-ordinator Neil Vatcher in sorting all the evidence submitted including what he witnessed with his own eyes and reaching the correct conclusion. I just hope it doesn't take too long.

When the red lights go on, this gives an instruction to any rider that they must come to a controlled stop, not carry on around another corner. Baldyman
Think they stand on the track for the practice starts after parade,,, or at least they used to

He ushers them to a certain point diwn the straight Its to prevent practice starts being undertaken on the bend and potentially causing dangerous ruts there
