Would think a 2pm start would rule out most of Eastbourne's travelling support. For a 5/6 hour journey, 300+ miles each way, I would have said it was an ideal time for the meeting!

There are running at 2pm because Newcastle are running?

Not really.Redcar agreed to start at this time on a Sunday so as not to impact upon the Newcastle fixture at 18:30.

If meetings at Stoke or Sheffield started at that time it would really suit me and i would make the effort and get to some. I rely on public transport. Anyway Redcar v Eastbourne..... Pity though, because I anticipate a close meeting, especially if Rich Lawson,is on his best Redcar form. Eddie Kennett, Lewis Kerr and Kyle Newman, aren't too shabby either, around the MPA. Football takes presidence, though.

parkendlass
The Redcar Bears steamroller powers on. Excellent Maximum from Palm-Toft, now showing his best on his home track. Great debut from Erik, Charles....well, just Charles... top man. Well done Kasper, and the rest of the team supported. Hope Jordan not too hurt. UTB !!! 1

screm
Very impressive week for Redcar, point at Glasgow, full points away win at Berwick, win today and just for good measure a British Champion.
Yearbyred
Good win for the Bears - MPT was superb, Riss very good and Wright his usual self. Andersen chips in with useful points and if Jordy hadn’t got injured (hope he’s ok after a very nasty looking crash) might have won by more. Lawson was excellent value for the Eagles and featured in all the best races, Kennett started well but faded and I was impressed with Edwards who won a very good battle with Greaves.
boz
MPT looked very, very quick today - was getting good speed of the slick inside that no-one else seemed to really get. Riss an excellent home debut and Andersen continues to impress. Best wishes to Jordan - horrific looking crash. Fancy we would have won by more with him in his last two rides. Lawson was superb for the Eagles. Kennett started well but faded and Edwards was very good value. Disappointed in Kerr and Newman though.
sidewinder
1 hour ago, Richard Weston said: Says on Eastbourne website that Kennett's best engine had problems after two races That would seem about right. He started very well (clever 1st ride), but gradually faded. It has to be said, he was in some tough races. Overall, Richard Lawson, deserved more than his 12 points. Lewis Kerr, quite frankly I was disappointed in him, I have seen him perform, much better here. Kyle Newman tried and on another day, may have scored a few more. Georgie Wood isn't very good around Redcar. Alfie Bowtelle seemed to get better as the meeting progressed. Jason Edwards, very impressed with him, you may have one there. Its fine margins, on another day, the score could have been much closer.
NC86
This was a great meeting on Sunday in beautiful sunshine. Some great races featuring MPT, Ross and our New British Champ Wrighty. Special mention to Richard Lawson also who featured in some brilliant racing with the above trio.
