Until the next Craig Cook hissy fit. Funny how he has a problem with the Eastbourne track but doesn't mind when one of his KL mates try and dig a tunnel in the Poole track  :D

They tripped up in the hole didn't they it was so deep......

It really is quite simple.

Glasgow, led by Cook, pushed off early, no doubt as a way of a bit of spiteful get back at the digs offered over the mic by Eastbourne.

THAT should have been the end of it with perhaps a warning to Cook and the other riders.

Cook was clearly leaving the track, as you do when the red flag is shown on the parade until the marshal instigated the next incident by needlessly and recklessly stepping in front of Cook. Cook responded, a bit of argy bargy and what would have been the end of it...

Until Paul Dugard then takes it upon himself to escalate things further and charge up to Cook and stick his face right into him, no idea what was said, but that caused Cook to throw the first punch.

Nobody comes out of it with any credit, but effectively the 'incidents' all ended and were started again by different protagonists.

It may not seem savory but reality is, it's great for speedway. Absolutely fantastic in fact. Who wants to miss the next time Cook/Glasgow come to Eastbourne, or indeed even when Eastbourne visit Glasgow next?

Bit of argy bargy?

cook tried sticking the head on the marshall there is no doubt about it, and if he had connected could of caused untold damage.

The marshall instigated the melee there is no doubt about that either, but cook should of just pushed him out the way instead of attempting to head butt the guy with a crash helmet on . If you headbutted an old man in the middle of the street because he walked in front of your moped whilst moving at about 10mph, and the headbutt connected, youd be done for ABH.

Pretty much everyone has agreed that Cook did not headbutt or even attempt to headbutt the marshal, even most of those who were there and said so at the time. He shoulder charged him, that is it. Had he wanted to 'headbutt' him he would have done so.

Still waiting for you to pay up on your bet :)

I couldnt careless what most agree on, its plain to see in that video he went in head first at the marshall which is classed as a head butt. You can try saying what you like, that was an attempted headbutt.

Also , how do you want the bet to be paid? PM me :)

In Glasgow's case 3 riders mistakenly (I assume they were advised of the procedures - they are totally different from Glasgow's) rode off before they should have.

They must have short memories, all 3 were at Eastbourne on 18th May and there were no problems, issues or mistakes then.

In the 15 years that I have been watching speedway at Arlington, I do not recall ever seeing anyone ride off before the introductions have been concluded.

Fair play to Rasmus Jensen, who remained stationery and must have wondered what the hell was going on.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Either way, all parties acted like clowns.

Don't know about you but most people's heads are attatched to their shoulders, move your shoulder and your head usually follows.

Think of the mechanics of a headbutt. The head goes back before it goes forward. This gains leverage. Cook leads with his head to gain leverage for his shoulder. You can’t head butt anyone if your neck is already stretched out to the front.

The Scotsman - interesting opinion....... I think if I stood in front of a motorcycle waving my arm the rider might be a little annoyed and  suggest that I was being dangerous. Cook over reacted I can see .....but then the whole thing got out of control with Paul Dugard mouthing off in Cooks face to calm things down ?. and  getting what he asked for. Then we have 2 Eastbourne riders legging it down the track to help the entertainment ....

To be honest if I was the Glasgow team and so aggrieved about the track I would have lodged an official protest and not appeared on the parade at all....but just ridden the meeting and left.

can't see anything remotely wrong with the track in this excellent meeting documentary especially in racing clips. Not wet or dusty.

Try and shoulder barge one of your mates and you will see that your head doesnt go anywhere near theres , unless of course you class a shoulder barge as a head butt.

Also , being Cook who has a pathetic temper at the best of times , why would he go for him with a shoulder barge? He went in with his head and its clear as day in the video thats what happened and cannot understand how people can say otherwise . Just like you see in boxing when boxers go in with their head when fighting dirty , thats exactly what that was . A headbutt doesnt exactly mean leaning your head back first then forward , it means going at someone with your head. Which is what cook done, with a helmet on. And its clear as day in the video.
