Woolley needed his 3rd programmed ride somewhere.

He still was programmed for ht 12, but the change meant Greaves could race a Berwick reserve in ht12,it was a good tactical move IMO.Wooley was not going to get a point unless someone had a mishap.

Agreed, I called it at heat 8 when looking through the rest of the meeting but didn’t think they would actually do it, all about sacrificing him and maximising Greaves’s points, Leon very unlucky and we would of got a draw at least without that chain snap but to me, it was the same two riders as it is a lot of the time who were at fault tonight, the two G’s, need more from Garcia on a 5 point average at reserve, it’s a waste and bad night from Gappmaier after a good few weeks, the two of them let us down in heat 14, well done Redcar, Riss, Wright and Greaves were good throughout

Most tracks in GB were built a around football pitches or Greyhound ,and produced great racing .Technology has overtaken the sport in GB and affected the quality of racing at a lot of these Stadiums .IMO

Have to disagree have seen many good matches at Newcastle , admittedly mainly before the turn of the Century.Have not been in recent years.Anybody who witnessed Mauger and Olsen era’s would probably agree.

Must admit never seen Ivan and Ole ride there. Too young. Was referring to 75 onward. Sometimes a few hammerings. Some visiting teams in that era seemed to be beat before they got on track. 38 point limit not there then!!!! Ian Thomas spinning in his grave with what is happening now.

I quite liked watching the racing at Newcastle. It's a technical track and different. If they were all the same it would be boring racing.

Not a track for throttle bashers. Ivan Mauger said if you can ride Newcastle you can ride anywhere.

berwick have thrown away a home win. cannot perform past heat 11, need to move jye from 2 so he can ride later in the meeting and keep the points rolling. The reserves are not up to scratch at home or away. To late for changes now the team will remain the same as past cut off date for changes.

Keep Jye for heat 14 make Gap the 1st rider to finish his allocated rides

16.3.3 No Team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August, except for riders returning to the Team after injury who must re-take their position,  dictated by their MA with their replacement being released. 16

Irrelevant as there won’t be any team changes unless forced

Giving some of our recent seasons just getting the season into September is something to cheer.

Gone are the days of a Friday night meeting against Newport last week of October
