On Saturday the 21st of December we will be opening the Bandits Track shop and Snack bar at Shielfield Park Stadium from 10am until 1pm. We’ve had lots of requests for merchandise items before Christmas so we’re opening the doors for anyone who would like to purchase something special for their nearest and dearest. Season Passes will also be on sale as well as 2020 season gift vouchers, merchandise and a very special selection of unique Berwick Bandits memorabilia! Don’t forget, we’re partying this Friday the 20th of December from 7:30pm in the Black and Gold! Entry is free and the entertainment will be provided by club legend Mike Hope and his road show! Any of this seasons DVDS available? Particularly Glasgow at the end of the year?

For me, I've always thought clubs should 'raffle off' a season ticket at say the first ten meetings or so.. £5 a ticket.. Get 100 fans paying and you get five hundred quid per season ticket.. Do it for the first ten matches or so, (so still excellent value to be had with around half a season left), and the ten tickets could be worth £5000... And surely, more than a 100 'regulars' would chance a fiver a meeting so possibly even more money to be had.? Think Berwick did that at the start of the season (through sponsor (think it was Clear Energy)) for the first 3 or 4 meetings. George will possibly be able to confirm as I can remember buying a ticket or 2. Think it was announced along with them sponsoring the first Berwick reserve to be quicker in heat 2 than the winner of heat 1, first Berwick rider to score a maximum and first Berwick rider to score a paid maximum (or I could be making it up). Very true - Clear Energy donated the two season passes they received as part of their sponsor package and they were raffled off, from memory, at the Edinburgh and Glasgow Championship Shield meetings. crescent girl
In 2016, Berwick raced at Somerset on the night of the World Team Cup race-off at Belle Vue, and Edinburgh also ran a meeting that night. As the BSPA no longer receive any major revenue (to share out among clubs)from SON or GP events staged in the UK, it is no longer mandatory not to run on the same nights -- but probably sensible not to do in terms of a possibly-reduced attendance. But I don't think the big announcement will be about that, anyway.

StevePark
Taken off Facebook: BREAKING NEWS We can confirm that the Shielfield Park circuit will be adapted before the tapes go up in 2020! Co-owner Jamie Courtney has announced at tonight’s Christmas party that work will begin to widen the entrances & exits to the corners and widen the straights in the new year! We will bring you the full story over the weekend but this is a huge step forward for the club as we look forward to enjoying the fastest Speedway in the country with lots more possibilities for great racing.
