The home meetings are the ones that matter, when it comes to balancing the books at the end of the season. How can Glasgow be expected to sell tonights meeting to the paying public. Sell it with spiel like they always do .. ooppss .
Mr Blobby
Shanes is listed to be in the same grass track meeting as Ellis unless that has changed due to his partner being due.

Bandit59
Was the size of the crowd less than usual?
MD
A good meeting for Connor Bailey to get more laps in on the Ashfield track, he really is coming on. No lack of effort from Shanes and Castagna but it was never going to be their night. The Brum TM never even attempted a TS ride when he should have given someone a go. Harder task next week with Newcastle and what looks like r/r for Cook who is at the SoN final all weekend.

highroad119
Really poor racing tonight. Fortunately it was over quickly. Watching riders 20 yards apart after 1 lap isn't good enough. Fans are being short changed. No fault of the promotion and the riders , just a sport shooting itself in the foot again.

Would be the death of UK speedway this idea You will always have riders, maybe not G.P. standard but maybe a more level field.

Not just GP riders anymore.. pretty much every foreign rider rides abroad as do the likes of Ellis, Bewley etc... there aren't enough riders to go round as it is and you want to rule out about 75% of them.. I was just amazed we got near to 30 points so all in all I cant fault any Brummies rider last night. Im not sure why Paco is apologising for last night, he doesnt need to as hes had a good season and a real fans favourite at Perry Barr. There are other people that should come out and explain the circumstances as to why that team went to Glasgow last night.

They had said they were riding in Poland , Waite told them to be at Glasgow or dont come back . One of them , Piotr Dym, never rode for the Bandits again . That doesn't seem to happen anymore , riders can basically please themselves these days . No club loyalty from Birmingham's number 1 here . The ending to that story was that Peter didn't bother telling Dym that he had been dropped, right up to the point that Dym turned up at Berwick the following week only to find he had been replaced.
