But trying to claim that Panthers wouldn't be alive it weren't for 'Bluster' coming in is just guesswork. There's only one reason he got involved at the EoES - and it wasn't anything to do with helping Panthers to do well. Or even "saving" speedway. It was the BT Sport dosh, and he needed to make sure that the top league had the minimum 7 teams - one way or another. Anybody who can't see that must be either blind or very naieve. I blame Ged - not for the usual reasons that get spouted on here, but for allowing himself to be taken in by Bluster. I hear he regrets it now. Hardly guesswork . Ford has been trying to sell Poole the biggest club in the uk and can't find a buyer Workington closed down they can't find a backer but somehow you think people all want to buy Boro Speedway .? We all know why Buster brought the club has anyone ever said otherwise ? I doubt Ged regrets selling a losing business that no one else wants to buy he's been very lucky sadly people with zero business sense like you can't see that .. Rather have no speedway than Chapman using the club just to keep the premier league alive. I never thought I would agree about the club closing but there you have it, I do. This year I have said so many times , I am not going anymore, so if we close it will make it easier for me. It is past memories and friendships that, when it comes to match nights pull me back.As it stands, I would rather not have had this year , especially if it is to be our last. Looking at the fixtures left, I probably won't make any more this year anyway. Sobering thought , I might have seen my last Speedway meeting at the Showground! wealdstone
I really fear for the future of Panthers , but I still intend to go to meetings as unless there is a viable plan from a viable new owner there will be no more Speedway at EOES. I do not think the Louis's will let Ipswich go to the wall and the Norfolk Arena will always be there. There seems no such salvation for Panthers. Dodger Blue
I see on the Panthers website that Buster was disappointed with the crowd, one of the reasons he said was the gap between meetings! Well that was just over a week, after Monday we wait until September!!! Wonder what he will say then He sprouting the usual 'we need the crowd to provide a great atmosphere for BT camera's .... Actually we need a competitive team to get a crowd in. Or how about a reduced admission for Monday? Didn't read that!!! 3
ruckerroo
Peterboro so called fans want every promotion to last 3yrs and lose about 400k in that time, they are the BSF champion wretchers and squawkers by a mile. Lakeside, rye, reading and oxford would love to have a speedway team to go and watch. Just get on with it and if you dont like whose running the show dont go

Peterborough fans want and expect a competitive team, unfortunately due to injuries and other things the current team isn’t and it’s affecting our attendance as it normally does. Orion never admits that he's wrong and will keep replying until you top yourself! He said that there would be no 2019 Panthers without Chapman. Rathbone said that he would run Panthers 2019 whether or not the club was sold. Couldn't have been more wrong there but will still argue that black is white. In terms of a losing business, if he's talking about speedway generally then most will probably agree. If he's talking about Rathbone and Panthers then he should have scrolled further down the news item that he quoted because Rathbone also said: “Don’t get me wrong, we’ve probably broken even over the four years and maybe even made a small profit ". Personally I think Chapman was the only offer on the table and not wanting to lose his investment in the future or particularly wanting to carry on in 2019 he pinched his nose and signed a deal that seemingly started to unravel before the ink was dry. He can spout all he likes -he refuses to listen to the fans and from those I spoke to last night many will be turning a deaf ear! He was warned but as usual refused to take notice. He has better prepare himself for a bigger disappointment because I believe Monday’s crowd will be even worse.

SteveLyric2
I think that was a good performance from the Wolves - aside from the strength and/or performance of the Panthers. Wolves looking very solid now as riders begin to hit form.
