Never going to be anything else Skidder. Very rare for Ipswich to get one over Poole so they will be shouting from the rooftops come 9.30, regardless of Poole’s team strength tonight.

Rare maybe......but we picked the right match

Just been riding above themselves. Which was good but met the patched up Pirates tonight and melted like a mivvie in the sun. Shudder to think what the real Pirates would have managed.

The real Pirates wilted under the pressure

Patched up weakened Poole side giving a full strength Ipswich a beating in their back yard .

Can never write Poole off no matter what.

Yes you can

Newman. 0,0,0 Big track specialist there.

Wells had a good meeting he owed that after what happened on Monday.

Doolan did OK. Better than Ipswich reserves but  ran a couple of lasts.

A full strength Pirates would have done probably even better.

A full strength Pirates got done easily

Perhaps complacency had set in. The Witches just thought all they had to do was turn up and Pirates would just roll over. Or perhaps they have been riding above themselves and tonight reality cut back in?

Or perhaps Pirates are lucky to have the best manager in the business who can motivate a team not expected to win. Middlo is a very good man manager and knows just how to get the best out of a team. Whilst it was an impossible task on Monday, the Ipswich track is more similar to Wimborne Road in shape and size. He got them fired up from the start and determined to battle for every point. Perhaps Hawkins hasn’t yet got that ability?
