Ipswich v Poole Prem. 11/6/19

Recommended Posts

Well that was a shockingly good performance by the patched up pirates and we probably should have got all 4 points on offer.

Special praise goes to our guest reserves, they were very good indeed, Jack looked very quick, in fact the announcer said it was a fast time in the first race, Josh got quicker as the night progressed and Klindt looked quick too, I believe I read he was a previous track holder and looked like it, unfortunately Kyle looked like his best days are behind him.

Harris started poorly  but got better and managed a vital heat 15 win to stop us getting all four points, Jack was all over him for 3 laps but couldn't get through and then tried to slow King's progress on the last lap to help Josh get 3rd which King didn't appreciate and they had words afterwards. King rode ok but was last in his tactical ride which didn't help them.Heeps was ok without catching the eye, Lawson was very poor, well below his usual performance, Kennet was ok and Allen looks like he hasn't fully recovered from his injuries.

Very fair assessment,  we were beaten by a better team last night

Fair assessment, ht1 was quickest of the season at 55.6 Danny’s TR is 55.5 so close to it for sure!

Wasn’t surprised Danny was unhappy with jack shutting off before line in the manner he did - it’s dangerous and just unsporting frankly - Danny is about as mellow guy as you’ll meet so for him to get so enraged I think illustrates this!

Indeed downright dangerous but the only blot on the Poole copybook for the night.

Thing is Gavan probably has Steve on block so can’t reply to what he can’t see anyway.

So you have Gavan and Steve talking trash to each other and neither of them can see it and those of us who can are sick of it.

Yes fair comment if he had just tried to block him over the last lap or two but just shutting off when he did I can see why he was enraged although I expect Jack has apologised it didn't seem that much of a heated debate and calmed down pretty quickly.

Congrats to Poole on their win, totally outgated us all night, but one bad result doesn't take away from us what we have done this season. We are still in a good position for the play-offs whereas everyone had us down as cannon fodder to finish bottom of the league.

Poole chose the right guests except Newman. Just because it is a patched up side, it was probably a stronger team than their own team as they could choose track specialists as guests (Brady doesn't ride Ipswich that well so they probably got more for RR then he would've). I just wish that certain Poole fans would give as much credit to a team that has beaten them instead of making up every excuse under the sky when they lose.

As is often the case it is fair to say Ipswich were poor , Lawson was very poor by his standards as was KP, Allen has an excuse as he has only recently returned from injury. Poole rode well and the reserve guests didn't let them down which is unusual . I don't see Covatti not doing a similar job , possibly NBJ may not have done as well who knows and Richie would definitely have done better than Kyle! Jack rode very well all night and he only got 5 last time so a massive improvement.

If you go by the performances from our guests on Monday you can probably understand why we were expecting a tonking taking place. With Ricky having withdrawn on Monday I was expecting nothing at all, such a shame about what has happened to Kyle since I last saw him.

Well we were told Jack wasn't good at Ippo either and look what he did! Brady could've done the same.

How would anyone know how well Brady rides the Ipswich track? When was the last time he rode there?

June 15th 2015  1. Brady Kurtz 1*, 1*, 2, 2* = 6+3

Did okay and is a much better rider now...

Ipswich lost because they have lost their reserves scoring power in the last week or so  they were winning matches with over 20 points between them. and just half that makes a big difference.

And we have a makshift side. Make all the excuses you want to. Look at the table and weep. It doesnt lie.
