That's true, but I assume if he'd had it a few days he's tuned it to his personal preferences... Handle bar positions and such... Not saying he'd be awful, just not the kickstart we need imo, still looked pretty decent around Redcar :P

That imo is way too high for the amount we'd have to sacrifice to get him in... You mean Cookie on his 11.01 average? ;)

Didn't realise Cookie was that good ;)

I think he was using borrowed machinery, which has a chance to be naff tho.

He was on the same machinery he rode up at Glasgow in the GP Challenge Qualifier, ex-Ludvig Lindgren gear.

I'd rather wait a couple weeks to see if someone like Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, is dropped by Berwick and say NBJ and (Wilko or Hume - if not signing for Birmingham like rumoured) in and (Lasse or TJ) and Danny out... Leaving

1. Steve Worrall

2. Max Clegg

3. Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen/Lasse Bjerre

4. Matthew Wethers

5. Thomas Jorgensen/Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen

6. Carl Wilkinson/Danyon Hume

7. Jacob Bukhave

Danyon signed for brum,so missed out on him as well now.

Thought that might have happened - Shame, good luck to him

@ Dandelion Also Jacob's goggles got covered in dirt he couldn't see, but got sorted.

That would be when Summers got past him on the third bend, but he had done well to get the third place in the first case given what Summers had scored up to then.

I really enjoyed the meeting last night, not just the result, or the speed that Willie Dish got the meeting though. A couple of biggish grading sessions and still got though the meeting at lightning speed. One session was needed early on as a burr had appeared on the racing line into the first bend, and you could see every rider hit it every time. Once that was resolved the loose surface produced some great racing with different racing lines, riders not knowing wether it was quicker round the boards or shooting the corner on the inside of bend 4. In the first case Lasse was brilliant trying the outside for three laps, and finally getting the win on the 4th attempt. Conversely Matty did the opposite, and look to be well behind till a great drive across the inside on the 4th bend and he achieved a decent gap to also take a great tactical win. Stevie troubled in his first ride, with the fast gating Summers getting a very fast time if 62.6, he soon got back on track with his usual class riding. Thomas still iffy at times but he is capable of producing some brilliant racing and did so in both heats 13 and 15 getting a great 5-1 in each case. Nice to see the reserves getting a few points with Danny winning heat 2 and Jacob trying so hard and getting himself into good positions and fighting for the extra point. Max decent as usual after his first ride. Even though there only appeared to be 4 scoring riders, the racing was very good and  our team looked so much more solid thoughtout than what we have seen this season. Interesting to see a new Czech riding very steady with Josh after the meeting. A quick meeting meant more time for junior second half riding and I counted 10 extra rides plus a wee junior ride.

Dave, a think the 'filled in' thing was referring to ht 2, when Jacob nearly ran into the back of Flint :t:

Steve's 1st bend move on Summers in ht 13 was brilliant, allowing TJ thru.

As usual, a good match report from yourself and, seen thru clear glasses and not Bukhaves dirty goggles, lol.

Talked to Jacob in the bar afterwards, and he couldn't see though his goggles when Aaron got him on the third bend.

Maybe it was then, then. Well hopefully next time, he doesn't let him past :t:

I think the sun was in his eyes and he couldn't see. Interesting with the Flint collision. It looked as if Leon had flicked out and stopped Jacob getting passed. It did happen quickly I might be wrong but I wasn't the only one to think it.

Yes, I had noticed he got pretty filled in... Was trying to take a tear off off his goggles and just clipped Leon's back wheel... Was unlucky, he looked quick after that, got chance to ride the track by himself for a few laps then flew past Leon on I think the last lap, impressive rides considering how little experience he has there... Looked nice in Heat 14 too, not too far away

Sounded pretty professional and all about the fans in his interview too, here's hoping Jacob can stay a while :t:First impressions are good

On a side note, I know it doesn't make up much, but I thought Danny rode well last night, won the reserves race comfortably with a dodgy throttle and picked up another point, was unlucky to come off in his 3rd ride when he was trying to pass around the outside, good night Danny, thought it needed pointing out as some people, including me, point out your negatives a lot...

And of course, Matty Wethers, 2019s hero, that's all I'm gonna say :D Sign him up for 2020 George QUICK!!

How was Ondrej Smetana? Normally hang around for second halves but had to run last night straight after heat 15... Shame as I've seen him ride once before and he looked quite nice, I assume someone in the North is up for signing him in the coming days, Redcar or Berwick maybe?
