Worst meeting ive ever seen. Stoke deserved the win, , was all about staying on the bike for both teams except for Perry, Coles and Clegg.  This is a reason why this great sport is as good as dead. Prob watched 2 of the worst teams in the league.

Well done Stoke, fully deserved the win against a 1 man cradley team.

Was the track to blame for 11 fallers this evening, too wet maybe !

Yes, I think so. It had clearly been heavily watered to keep the dust down (and they succeeded in that, there was none at any time on a hot, breezy day) but probably used too much as no further watering was necessary at any time.

It left the surface very greasy indeed and meant that some riders had difficulty staying on and all were a bit tentative, leading to many races being from the gate (Coles brilliant win in heat 11 being a notable exception).

At NL level in particular, there is a balance between ensuring riders can ride and spectators don't get covered in dust and that's not easy to achieve when it is both windy and sunny as it was last night.

It was most encouraging to see a very decent attendance.

This is the problem with the tracks paying far too much attention to the "one spec of dust and I'm not going keyboard warriors" and over-watering.

A safe track as free from dust as possible is better than an over-watered track with no dust.

Crazy in context of Loomer Road is that a lot of this "dust dust dust" rubbish is coming from a Cradley Heath fan and ex-rider Mark Robinson.

a very fair report tiger. it was a very hot day and a lot of water had been put down. this suited the more experienced riders ( ie cleggy recording the fastest time of the season so far) but others found it tricky. was looking forwards to seeing young bickley ride but he did not look that interested and halsey was poor. a real shame for Lawlor picking up an injury on his birthday so hope he is ok and yes heat 11 was something else with coles passing both clegg and bickley for an excellent win. so onwards and upwards for the potters.
