Fancy word for peculiar

Yep I was aware thanks and along with the following synonyms:

distinctive, individual, characteristic, distinct, distinguishing, peculiar, individualistic, different, typical, special, specific, representative, unique, personal, private, essential; eccentric, unconventional, uncommon, abnormal, irregular, aberrant, anomalous, odd, off-centre, quirky queer, strange, weird, bizarre, outlandish, freakish, extraordinary; rare and singular; and if you ask any Scunny or Newcastle fan all of which can be used for Danny Phillips.

Of course all done in the best possible taste...

Regards

THJ

Wrong time to post this but

Any signings that come to mind? If so, why?

Sean Tacey to Arena Essex - seemed more suited to Berwick and Hull etc

P.s doesn't have to be your team, suggestions welcome

Walasek  to Lakeside.

Seemond Stephens & Brett Woodifield (Trelawny)

Mario Jirout (Newcastle) probably would have been a hit had he not been in the accident a year previous

William Lawson (Berwick) one of many in John Anderson's tenure.

David Kujuwa (Newport) my memory fails me I think 2004/2005ish

Peter Ljung (Reading) turned up a few times always had questionable commitment in the UK. Always a solid performer abroad.

James Birkinshaw to Newcastle. Mind it did always seem the week before Sheffield away.

Surprisingly he also got a hateful of points at Arena Essex. One meeting on late 90's I think he got about a dozen points for our win.

Ben Howe for Newport on about 11.90 average in about 2000 .

Was superb to watch around Newport when in the mood but dreadful away from home .

went from Watson/Lindqvist/Henrikssson and Smart in 1999 to Henriksson, Howe an Appleton as heatleaders the following year . Lol .

Hmmmmmm

2002..Exeter..13..61..118..11..8.46..1F

2002..Trelawny..14..53..74..8..6.19
2003..Exeter..46..229..442..19..8.05..4F

I was surprised when he went to Trelawny, pretty sure he started the year at the Moto parc. But probably just struggled to get the set up before a swift return to form at the County ground.

As for Exeter between 99 and 05 would have liked both Coles and Hare who both seemed capable of scoring good points consistently away. Mark Lemon always good from the gate and maybe Tony Svab.

Lobb Simmonds and Stephens all solid at home but maybe not the best travellers.

Think he had relations and sponsors involved at Trelawny.

He was superb around Exeter I remember that much .

there was a meeting down there i think the year Wato and smarty came back for Newport and we went into a last heat decided needing a heat advantage to win. Stephens guested for us for someone and had reeled off a six ride maximum but Tim Stone still opted to put Wato and Smart in the final race. They went out and got us a 5-1 to win the match. But remember thinking how quick Stephens was that night around Exeter, unreal .

I'm sure he started off there for St Austell in the Conference League, possibly 1998? Signed for Eastbourne as an asset early on in his career as well I think.

Remember workington releasing James Wright an signing Simon Neilsen in his place

Depending which James you are comparing with. James was a good rider and when he improved he went on the EL and was the PL Riders Champion one year. Unfortunalety he suffered major problems with consistency and slid down the averages and was very unreliable after that, and not signed by anyone.

No , he won the PLRC the year it was held at Swindon . By the time his career had reached Glasgow , he was a major disappointment
