But lets us not forget his many good scores at the likes of Newport, Rye House Isle of Wight and a memorable 14-5 at Craven Park in 2002 against a well placed Hull.

well that defeat v Newcastle is the end of season  early again so to keep the fans coming think its time to make changes  now people will not pay £17 permatch to watch that crap

Fairly certain that I remember being told at the Fans' Forum the choice of  Gapp and  Pijper wasn't a choice as, simply, Theo wouldn't fit under the points' limit with the other six in place, Dany did.

Oh if that is the case then fair enough, I suppose you could argue between Theo and Jye but I would of picked Jye and I’m sure most others would as well, however, I still stand by my opinion that Theo should come in to replace Dany or at least be tried after meetings with the view to bring brought in if sharp enough, similar to what Newcastle did with Jedd List before going with Bukhave.

Not taking into account the loan fee situation, I will repeat my opinion from out of season.  The only rider I would have brought back from last season was Busk Jacobsen, with a ? on Summers.  But hey ho ! we are where we are.

Theo Pijper didn't get a team place anywhere in the championship over the winter Berwick included, and at time of writing still hasn't got one, there is a reason for that.

Possibly.

Well, we were as pish as the track was! P45s should be threatened really with some individuals! If we want to progress in competitions we need people who are going to score home AND away!

One positive.. take a bow Leon Flint! Think we are going to have to have to enjoy him whilst we can!

Same taste in music as me!! XXX

Pijper did a decent job for us last season but I`m not sure he is the answer to Gappmaier, and lets not single out Danny as there are other riders in the team not quite doing what they should on a regular bases for one reason or another. Anyway if Pijper signs I take that would put Garcia up the team, that would not make us any stronger IMO.

Pijper lining up in a tough Scottish Open field on Friday, suppose that may give an indication, although looking at the line up can’t be expected to beat many.

It is surprising the Pijper never attracted aTeam over the winter ,he maybe has other priorities ,or just not seen as an improver which is the secret of a good season given the low average to build team.

“The Diamonds wanted this so badly and fought hard to get a really well deserved win, and our guest David Wallinger should have had more points to his name as he rode so well. Max Clegg has come into his own now and proved why we wanted to sign him when others didn't.”
Diamonds boss George English feels things are coming together for his side after an impressive KO Cup aggregate victory over Berwick last weekend.

Sign him up then!!

Not sure of his age or whether he is already signed with someone other than the Colts but what about Jordan Palin???  He got 15 points in the same meeting Clegg got 14!!

The NDL green sheets indicate when a rider is 15 and so ineligible to guest in the CL.

Jordan is only 15, talented young rider, took an interest in him riding with Leon Flint

I had a feeling that was the case, never seen him race but sounds a cracking prospect.  Oh well

If he's 15 then he ain't allowed. I would suspect there are quite a few others keeping an eye on him. In the meeting in question he never met Max, who was only beaten by Bickley. difficult to make a comparison, but Max's winning times were consistently quicker. Still one to watch in the future.

As others have said Jordan is only 15 so ineligible to race in the Championship, he has signed for Scunthorpe for the 2020 season.
