Updates on baansportfansite.nl I chuckled to myself reading Smoli yet again moaning about the changes in heat schedule to please fans, sponsors, but the riders gain nothing from it !!! Surely if fans and sponsors gain, then riders do at the end of the day ? It would have been better to complain from the top of the rostrum, rather than 3rd place.......

I thought the schedule had been changed to please the Riders, as some riders had more starts immediately after a track grade/watering, which put them at a disadvantage? moomin man 76
Good to see Jesse Mustonen qualify outright for 2020, rather than having to rely on the place gained through the World Long Track Challenge. A good end to the season after a tough start coming back from serious injury at Bielefeld in 2018.
DutchGrasstrack
Broken collarbone for Smolinski in an all or nothing attack on Tressarieu in the semi final.

Certainly going for the 'big names' in 2020 and rightly so. Early showings suggest that Hansen could be quite a threat in the competition, THJ had better put more money into his bikes than he did when riding a Poole but will mix it and of course Shanes fully deserves a WC. Hard on a couple who missed out perhaps but much better to have riders at the sahrp end than those who would be filling the minor placings. Always a tricky one as raising the profile of the series is always a positive but Waj would likely be better for the actual product on show?
