Eastbourne v Glasgow (League) 18/5/19

Recommended Posts

Eastbourne: Kennett, Morley, Bowtell, Kerr, Lawson, Wood, Brennan

Glasgow: Cook, Sarjeant, Jensen, Starke, Vissing, Stoneman, Bickley

I predict a similar scoreline as tonight's meeting but in the Eagles favour. Lots of the Glasgow team either won't have seen Arlington or been there for quite sometime, with the exception of Stoneman and Bickley. Morley, Bowtell and Wood especially should score a lot more than they did this evening.

If we can somehow leave with a point it will be a great start to our campaign .Eastbourne shouldn't need the same level of tactical awareness their management showed last night though

I’ll agree with the original poster. Similar score to last night but reversed.

Cook will probably get 6 rides.  Be very interested to see how Claus goes. He surprised me at Newcastle

Yes he did, but only very briefly and wasn't that impressive.

I thought he did, can't really see him scoring much tonight if i'm honest the home reserves should have the beating of him.

Firstly speedy recovery for young Tom.

Well done again to the Tigers, just seem to be getting better by the week.

Track not the best according to the updates, looks like we managed it better than the home team , but a good weekends work to start our league campaign.

Injury confirmed compound fracture of the leg,,real bad news for club and rider...

He will be a massive miss for the Eagles, was highly impressive last night after the first couple of rides.

Speedy recovery to Tom, a big loss for the Eagles , well done to Tigers, a hard fought win, special mention to Paul Starke who has been struggling this season and Connor Coles who should get a chance at no 6 for us

Tom was brilliant tonight it’s just a shame he got a bit too much grip which carried him into the fence.

Not at all happy with medical staff tonight but shout out to Ian for doing all the running and getting stuff for Tom.

Think there will be a team shuffle this week and look forward to seeing how it will line up for next Saturday. Although Jon  Cook has jinked the season by saying he wants the more close meetings. Well Jon since you have said that we have not won a meeting.

A few fallers tonight on what looked like a tricky track. With the heat leaders all dropping points and the Eagles long tail wagging, the crash involving Tommy B was a bridge too far in the end. The crowd looked well down compared to the previous home meetings. A combination of the FA cup and the GP on the telly no doubt contributed to this.
