GreenLightGo
What an improved rider KB is. Rides the track well. Out performing his average massively. Another stable reserve and we could be challenging.
Gazc
Very comprehensive victory and another masterclass from Cook. Don't know why the Eagles manager waited to heat 14 to use a tactical strange decision. Good seeing Aaron back seemed to enjoy it.
ruckerroo
Surgery required in easties middle order, the fans can see it, can the go ahead promotion do something before its too late.
MD
Another decent meeting at Le Stade D'Ashfield despite the dust in the first five heats. Some good stuff from Cook, Lawson, Barker and a return to form for Summers. Eastbourne's 2 pointers had some good tussles with Connor Coles who doubled Luke Chessell's season long score in one meeting. Starkey still lacking speed and a decent gate but seems much more comfortable on the road, not always a bad thing. Onward to the wee team next Friday.
Fingersfin
That was as entertaining a 56-33 as you could wish to see. The ref said it was the best meeting she had seen this year.
Paulco
The Eastbourne tactical substitution manual . No point doing it against Mr Maximum as he doesn't get beat at home . Heat 8 is protected so that's out . So what is left . Heat 5 , you're 6 points down.........no not yet . Heat 9 then , you're still in touch ........eh nope . Ok heat 12 surely , still an outside chance of a point .....nope . Then heat 14 when the score is 50-27 , bring out the big guns and there you go a 5-1 . Brilliant lol .

Fingersfin
As job applications go he couldn't have done much more. Certainly quick out the traps. Bickley continues to impress, hope he stops growing!
M.D
Eastbourne really remind me of 1985 when they entered the second tier of British speedway, It took us half a year to build and from then on we dominated the league until we moved up to the top flight again. The team is built to win and entertain at home with the hope that the top three can carry the side away from home with the hope of picking up the odd point here and there. It's very much a club that's building for a very bright future, give us a season and we will be both winning and even more entertaining on the road..
DWaller
I think Connor Coles would be a good shout at reserve for the Tigers given his performance both on friday and at Arlington Saturday

I guess we all have fuzzy memories when we reminisce. "Dominated the league until we moved up to the top flight again" you say. Incorrect. Granted that Eastbourne won the league in 1986 and 87, however they did not dominate until they returned to the top flight in 1991 - Eastbourne were 3rd in 1988 with 36 league points and well behind Hackney's 54 league points. In 1989 Eastbourne were 7th, and in 1990 season Eastbourne were 11th in a 17 team 2nd tier league i.e. they were in the bottom half of the 2nd tier league. Therefore they did not "dominate" the league until moving back to the top flight in 1991. As regards the aspirational part, this is the case for all teams and certainly not unique to Eastbourne, though best of luck to them all the same.
