False dawn
Apologies if this has been done before, I'm a bit a bit in and out of the forum these days.... I'm regaining my passion for the sport (it was severely damaged by the temporary closure of Brandon). As a result, I've started to travel to more meetings but I want to take all of my family, including my boy, Lenny (greyhound cross). The hard bit is trying to determine which tracks will let Lenny in. Many team websites don't say one way or the other. So, can we assemble our own list for the benefit of dog owning fans please? I've started my list below and will edit this as this wonderful group post further information. Yes Berwick Coventry Eastbourne Edinburgh Leicester Ipswich Isle of Wight King's Lynn Peterborough Plymouth Poole Redcar Rye House Scunthorpe Somerset Stoke No Belle Vue Glasgow Newcastle Sheffield Sittingbourne (Kent) Swindon Wolverhampton Edited May 10, 2019 by False dawn

Gemini
If no-one replies about Eastbourne you'll probably be able to find out tomorrow. You used to be able to take them as we have been but that was many years ago when Coventry won 46-45. That result is stuck in my memory for some reason.......or was it 45-44. You can add Newcastle and Wolverhampton to the No list. cityrebel
I have seen dogs at Eastbourne in the past. There used to be a Jack Russell there that wore a small Eagles scarf!

After trying to find an email address to confirm the current policy, I found the following on their website: Dogs are very welcome at Arlington, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
It seems to be the stadiums that also run greyhounds are the ones that dont allow pet dogs in Perhaps is a health/vetinary type precaution(???)
False dawn
Just now, dontforgetthefueltapsbruv said: It seems to be the stadiums that also run greyhounds are the ones that dont allow pet dogs in Perhaps is a health/vetinary type precaution(???) I think that's generally correct. A bit ironic really as the dog I want to take is 90% greyhound.

cyclone
Believe it's ok @ armadale, & should still be, given greyhound racing has ceased there now. IIRC they're not allowed at Ashfield - a guy who used to take a couple of rare breed dogs a few years ago, apparently was barred for disputing this. No doubt a Tigs fan can clarify whether or not dogs are permitted. A friend used to have to keep his dog in the car when he went to Berwick, as they were banned because of an incident where a child was apparently bitten.
hobnob
No dogs allowed at Swindon apparently because Stadiums rules because of the greyhounds

Gemini
I can't understand this rule anyway. Coventry ran Greyhound Racing and dogs were still always allowed. Wolverhampton, Oxford and Swindon all did then suddenly brought the rule in so that was the end of our visits to those tracks. There aren't exactly any Greyhounds wandering around during Speedway matches so why are visiting fans pet dogs banned? If it's just a health risk it would be simple enough to show up-to-date injection records.

Not forgetting Lassie Bjerre, or most of the Great Danes, actually... Steve 3 1
