PSC • Poole Pirates v Swindon Robins • Good Friday

Seems like Poole are ok on the road, but at home, oh dear.   Says on thing.  The home track isn’t fit for purpose.

The Wimborne track has had a ? Against it now for a few years.   Is it still the same guy preparing it ?  If so rather than sack riders maybe Ford should look at getting someone in who knows what they are doing.

As the saying goes, at least Poole will be able to concentrate on The League now.

I`m pretty sure you don`t have the track staff to prepare a track FULL STOP

im sure you are right and I was there and we haven't got the equipment either.  should have been called after heat 10 then the result would have stood

Stop using the track as an excuse.

Last we week we lost at home to King's Lynn. The meeting was 37-35 to Poole with 3 Heats to go. Robert Lambert won Heats 13 & 15 which KL hit two 5-1s in. Heat 13 & 15 decided the meeting result.

The two meetings against Swindon we haven't won why because we can barely take points off their HL's

We lost to Peterborough a team that is built 3 points under the limit.

Our top end is not strong enough and that is the sole reason why we lost. Holder is not a No.1. Kurtz is not reliable when under pressure in the big races. We will see this all season long.

So which available heat leader(s) would you suggest are signed?

No gate and gone track rubbish day time. speedway no good in the sun

Try watching Polish Ekstraliga, Sunday afternoon racing very often in sunny weather... not a problem... water bowser and a track team that put the effort in and know what they are doing!

The simple answer is to keep the Premiership to Monday’s and Thursdays and Championship to the others, no clashes or double up problems, most bank holidays are on Monday’s so what’s the problem.

Basic common sense to me

There is a better answer

It's all good having a strong reserve pairing when you have a reliable No.1 to go with them. But when you have a rider who is not a No.1 and the back up option is a rider (Kurtz) who has proven he cant ride at No.1 then it defeats the object of strength in depth.

Jakobsen or Covatti have to be sacrificed along with Worrall because strength in depth does not work when the club doesn't have a reliable No.1 or No.5

Us at Ipswich seem to have the best reserve pairing in the league......so far.

We have a weak top 5 but every rider seems to be chipping in with 7 or so or more and thats carrying us through

At Poole at the moment they have Holder and Worrall struggling to get 6, and Josh and Brady doing ok

Pooles reserves on paper should be doing so much better

2 home meetings so far......13 points and 2 race wins.......9 points and 0 race wins......thats not enough from the reserves for a team with strength in depth

Ipswich (also built with strength in depth) 2 home meetings so far......17 points and 3 race wins.....17 points and 3 race wins.......thats why Ipswich are doing well and the top 5 with 6 or 7 each wins meetings.

Poole need to axe Worrall and one of the reserves

I don't think we need a knee jerk reaction to one bad meeting. Several riders didn't perform on a badly prepared track and no bowser during the meeting didn't help either difficult to see most races certainly couldn't see some of the track with all the dust, just not good enough. Swindon have a good side but we made them look better than they are. Only a couple of our riders can be given any credit.

Christ didn't see that coming after last night. Swindon's heat leaders ran riot. Will be a fearsome trio this season.

GO ROBINS!!!

Nobody has blamed the track as far as I’m aware for Poole losing - they have just commented on how bad the track was.
