Danny King - The EWR was made for this man, even though Owlerton is his new home, he will surely educate the Scorpions heat leaders on how to get around it. Drew Kemp - It's simple, kid dynamite will relish in this one. Good Friday = good score. Will show the Scorpions second strings how business is done. Kasper Andersen - Might have had a bumpy start with us and Lynn but guess what, this kid loves the EWR and will ride out of his kevlars to hammer in a big score. Tyron Proctor - Mr hot head himself just knows he is going to be in the thick of pretty much everything on Friday, points included. Kyle Howarth - Captain, leader, all out battler. Scorpions just know that when he is on it he will deliver, my gosh this score could be a big one for the Tigers. Broc Nicol - Stars & stripes all the way with this wonderkid from across the pond. A weapon at reserve who most teams will fear, when this kid "clicks" everyone is in trouble. Zaine Kennedy - Smooth, stylish and great to look at , and thats just his hair. Zaine Kennedy has little fear and will literally ride the boards to to get a point. A very good signing and has taken to life in the UK like a duck to water. A beautiful rider, a beautiful signing. Expect all out action. So, my prediction...... A tough day at the office for the Scorpions unfortunately. Good to see this seasons predictions are as accurate as last seasons.
Halifaxtiger
Good meeting Scorpions very solid indeed with Ayres (apart from a reckless move that poleaxed Kennedy) very impressive. Furious efforts from both reserves deserved more points. I had Sheffield down as odds on favourites this season but that was not in evidence yesterday as they were too inconsistent. Big credit to Rob Godfrey for the track yesterday but he really must get someone to do that or the mic (and for heavens sake, not Roger Westby). I like him doing both but in a meeting that's just not possible. Edited April 20, 2019 by Halifaxtiger
Charlieboy
Well done Scunthorpe deserved win.Kyle and Zaine put lots of effort in but we fell well short. Our doubling up riders are getting plenty of laps in but don't seem to be up to speed against riders only riding for one team. Our gating is poor and you can't afford to be giving riders a head start.I don't understand why we had no gating practice at press and practice when it's the most important part of the race at many tracks? I hope all the hype as favourites is not affecting the lads because we have to do more than just turn up.Kasper seems to be down on confidence and power and not getting points with Kings Lynn won't be helping him.Disapointed with yesterday's performance but heat 15 was a cracker.Zaine rode his heart out .Plenty more to come from him.Well done to Scunthorpe reserves very impressed. Another load of rubbish by the infamous fiction writer Odsal Boy, only Howarth and Kennedy were any good, Kemp, Nicol and Anderson who have all scored double figures here before were dire, Proctor and King looked ordinary, in fact it should have been a bigger Scunny win with Auty and Garrity suffering engine failures in their first heats and Danny Ayres over enthusiastic in another, maybe Sheffield need to sign David Speight.
