British U21 Semi Final - Isle of Wight - 16 April

The first of the two semi finals lines up Nathan Ablitt, Luke Ruddick, Ryan Kinsley, Chad Wirtzfeld, Ben Woodhull, Jamie Bursill, Connor King, Joe Alcock, Jordan Palin, Alex Spooner, Jordan Jenkins, Anders Rowe. Reserve James Laker.

Twelve qualifying heats, four rides each. Two semi finals with first two in each to Final. Top three to the U21 Final at Berwick where they join 10 seeded riders and the top three from Somerset semi.

As part of a special promotion, Warrior chief Barry Bishop has issued the following invitation:

UK Speedway fans - you have done you’re bit for your club now we are doing ours. ‬

‪Season ticket holders from any club are invited as our guest for free on Tuesday 16th April for the GB Under 21 Semi Final at Smallbrook Stadium sponsored by Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries.

Fantastically generous offer by the IOW promotion leading the way once again. 

On track Kinsley, Rowe & Jenkins "should" comfortably progress but certainly interesting to see how close Palin & Spooner will get. Fingers crossed for a good nights racing and hope all riders complete every ride for the deserving public.

Slightly strung out at times due to a bit of a gulf in ability, but some good racing was produced. Highlight being a big outside pass by Ablitt on Ruddick going down the back straight and round bends 3 and 4. Ruddick himself highly unfortunate to have mechanical gremlins on the last lap of the semi final when in 1st place

As always welcome first class, kids interaction first class, adult interaction yep you guessed it first class. Food pukka as always.

Note to self though, if you gonna run half the kids race to film your daughter running round make sure you press record not photo.........
