Weeyin
Difficult one to predict , the Bandits have a few meetings under their belt already and have done well so far, and they usually do well at Ashfield, especially having former Tigers captain Aaron Summers and Coty Garcia. Tigers on the otherhand will be race rusty, Only a couple of the riders have been in competitive meetings, Paul Starke and Kyle Bickley. The tiggers will need to be sharp out the gate to combat the bandits and the top 5 will have to bring their A game to keep the pressure off the reserves and give them a chance to settle in. Looking forward to the home and away fixture this weekend, should be a real test . I will go for home wins at Glasgow and Berwick but reckon it will be close.
ragdoll64
Rasmus and James both had outings as well Dorothy. Rasmus doing rather well in a competitive field at Belle View.

Taylorj
Berwick are my Dark Horses this season.....no pressure on them , an even 1-7 with a good reserve all season as Garcia and Etheridge/Gappmeir can swap places , has all the recipes of a successful team, you only need to look at us last season !! Were always big rivals of ours but like us are desperate for a successful season ...watch this space !

Think if NBJ can perform away from home we will be “dark horses” very early days though.

Bandits4eva
If we somehow keep the standard of gating up that we displayed last night at Newcastle then we will stand ourselves in good stead. We ran Glasgow close last year... crossed fingers for the same again
Paulco
Surprised we never had a blow the cobwebs off meeting before the competative stuff starts , and this could be a toughy to start with . Most of the Berwick side have blown hot and cold at Ashfield in the past , but home and away wins over Newcastle will see them arrive in confident mood . We should have enough about us to start with a win , even if Berwick look a good bit stronger at reserve . Hope the weather heats up a bit as the Charlie Monk stand can get a bit chilly at times , hope the standard of racing heats us up if that is the case .
allthegearbutnaeidea
Hopefully Senór Flint keeps up the good work of swapping Kev and Jye for away meetings so that Jye and Dany are not paired together away from home so expecting the team to be Aaron, Jye, Dany, Kev, NBJ, Coty, Leon. Glasgow fans what is your 1-7 looking like? Think I’ll make the trip, depending on the weather.

Cheswell, 7. Bickley
george.m
At yesterday's Ashfield practice Rasmus looked very fast and confident, Claus equally so. Was impressed with Aaron's speed at the Bordernapolis, Coty the same when in front. Leon looked confident and he knows Ashfield well enough. This is a tough opener for the Tigers, we might even look back later on and realise it's been our biggest test of the season.

It’s a tough one to predict, slightly favour Tigers. If NJB has a good meeting will be the key to Berwick’s fortune.Imo

SharpenRake
Like other Tigers fans am a bit worried about this match. People forget that Aaron was brilliant for the Tigers apart from the season he picked a Polish based engine tuner and remember he's a former track record holder. The only thing coty lacked was reliable good equipment, when he was on it he was superb. The others have all had decent performances and if they pop out the gate who knows. As others have said they've had competitive action and we've had individual meetings or just practise. Everyone seems to have forgotten cookie is coming back from injury and no one knows how he'll do and luke hasn't ridden competively for a while again due to injury. Hate to say it but can see us losing particularly if we have bike and tapes problems
mac101
The riders have been in practicing a few days this week so hopfully dailed into new track surface CC and the Danes look very quick on the day they were there tigers just to sneak it by couple of points

Neila
After reading season preview in speedway star, Mr cammy knickers wants Tigger's to have more luck this year !! Think last year you were beat by a better team !! Now thinking Berwick side this year resembles that better team from last year, good luck bandits in Tigger land. By the way just over 1 week to cookies testimonial any riders known yet ? Got my h18tory tee shirt to wear next week !! 1 1
screm
The Glasgow site is showing the Berwick team with Doolan, Gappmaier and Ethridge at numbers two three and four. After switching Kevin Doolan and Jye Etheridge round at Newcastle wouldnt Berwick be better doing the same for Glasgow. https://www.glasgowtigers.org/cami-ready-for-rivals-old-and-new/
