Yes, Lonigo is the strongest Italian team, but the problem is, how many of their riders are Italian? Zambon and Tessari and then ??? Other teams have much better home riders, but don't spend as much money on foreigners.

Hi all,

this is my 1st post on this forum, i've discovered it few minutes ago.

Tomaz made the right question. Lonigo has only 1 Italian born rider (5th rider of each team must be an Italian junior rider), but by now we considered Emiliano an Italian boy.

He was born in Argentina, he spent many time in England but his home now is Italy. He will take part at Individual Championship and also he will start in WC Team qualification next July at Lonigo.

Lonigo team-manager after three consecutive bad season made a good team (I want to remember that is forbidden to have SGP riders in this championship) and they abuse on bad start of the season of last year champion FIrst Team to conquer 15 points advantage after 2 rounds.

First Team had some problems with his Polish riders (Baron 3 points in 1st round and FLis another 3 points last saturday) but I think he have time to recover the leadership.

Terenzano race with the best 2 Italian riders Maida and Terenzani but anyone of them scored more than 7 points and also its foreign riders are the worst of the meeting.

Abato had a younger team. All its riders are Under 21 but they shown a good impression especially Gregnanin and foreign riders.

Man of the meeting was undoubtely Emiliano Sanchez who dropped only 2 points but he made some good external pass to Wallner, Povazhny, Flis and Salvatelli.

His best meeting since he race in Italy.

Next race in Italy will be 1st of May with 1st round of Italian Individual Championship. THis is an open championship (like Slovenia, Austria, Hungary) and it's inscripted on UEM calendar, so all European riders could take part in it with his national licence.

Does anyone know if there is Italian Speedway on RAI Sport in 2004 ??

Yes, Rai Sport Sat will show a small sinthesys (20 minutes) of this championship but at this time I don't know when the programmation.

Official televisions of Italian team championship are Sky Sport Italia and Nuvolari, but they're encrypted.
