Very talented young rider with good backing which makes a huge difference even at this level. As for the other rider absolutely no idea but the tail of the Kent side is very strong even if the heat leaders are not the strongest they certainly won't be the worst. Could have been wrong about this Kent side but coming in under the lowered points limit raises some alarms. Only issue is with injuries early on in the averages being lower for a replacement
Sings4Speedway
The plus side is that Kent should have any combination of Gilkes, Ablitt, Ledwith & Spooner at reserve across the season which would be very potent plus with the first 3 likely to make a mockery of their averages (and the reduced points limit skewing the numbers further) the overall team total will look much higher when the first set are released. TurnTwo
Oh without a doubt. Best team Kent have assembled (if they had an out and out number 1) it’s only taken Eastbourne to move up a league for Len to be competitive har har har
ruckerroo
the best side kent have assembled but they still need a solid no 1, is bowen def crocked ? if he is I would try to tempt baseby into another season, vastly experienced and rarely has a bad match anywhere

Think Baseby would have been popular at Kent initially but over the past couple of season his antics & associations rule him out with the fans. Personally i would say Josh Bailey is a good a choice as anyone available.

Even as a thirteen year old he often had the beating of Jason Edwards and last season was posting times only a few seconds outside those of the main match. There is NO way Len would have Baseby in the team after his antics last season. My guess is it is Kemp, although almost all Kent supporters would prefer Jack Thomas at No 1. It will not be Jack Thomas as he will be riding somewhere else. Cannot see Kemp either if rumours of joining Ipswich are true. Looks like Kent will be a coupe of points or so less than the 36 limit. But with all the young guns I cannot see that mattering much. Edited December 21, 2018 by blueherb777

Yup Jack is at Leicester on sat night so ruled out of Kent plans. When you say young guns don't you mean young guns & 1 slightly ageing cannon.

East End Fan
I do not know much about Ablitt. Is he really as good as posters on this line are suggesting ? Is it correct that he is 15 in March ? Reminds me, if he is, rather like when Anders Rowe first started. Bottom end of Kent looks good to me. Sings4Speedway
In my opinion every other side would want Ablitt in their side (Leicester apart). I think he has more to offer than Rowe and suspect he will end up in the main team soon having a Jason Edwards style debut season.
teaboy279
He was voted Star performer at the young lions academy at Cardiff and got to present a gp trophy, so people with far more knowledge then most of us rated him highly. Something I 've noticed over the last few seasons is how pleasant most of these young lads coming through.
hawks 1975
Does anyone know if Jake Knight is looking to ride in 2019? I always enjoyed his whole-hearted racing style and would love to see him at Central Park. I assume he has never reached a 4 point average in the middle tier, which must make him an attractive option?
