I cant see what the big deal is???

I for one am glad that it was called off (whatever excuse used) .

It would've been a farce without Adam Ellis riding!

Just tell the truth. Issue a statement saying they are not prepared to take a financial hit with Ellis not riding. It's not hard is it.

What ? and get a big fine from the SCB ?

So you really think that the SCB accept the Brummies version of events. Why don't the authorities carry out their own investigation if they are that bothered. If tracks can call meetings off for a football match, then why not for missing riders. I don't recall any teams getting fined for pulling the plug before the day of the meeting.

Western Power is doing prep work for Commonwealth Games Village etc and increasing powering for overall infrastructure.

If this was an issue last week how come last weeks match was not called off due to electrical work instead of rained off? At least we know that was a genuine rain off.

If this is an issue how come Dogs have been on every meeting? The Power Supply from Western Power would not be specific to one small area of a large stadium.

If it is just the Pits Area why not hire a generator, a few hundred quid??

Sorry, I'll back Brummies to the hilt but this is frighteningly like 2014 and we don't want a repeat of that, and I don't want us fans being taken for mugs either.

Re the point about not allowing a Guest facility. The rules are clear, if you re-declare you cannot have a Guest until a new rider has ridden a match.

If the SCB grant us an exemption they have to do it for everyone. We could have Teams re-declaring and signing riders just to get a Guest for a vital match.

Brassed Off!

Well actually you can as Wolves have currently with Nick Morris.

Being honest I have no problem when the SCB enforce the regulations it’s when they don’t enforce them as per the Premiership play Off final ref Guests, that stinks.

Be very very interesting to see if the SCB make an official enquire into this and report the outcome

Maybe Speedway Star will send an investigative journalist around to dig deep into the truth of the matter?

Guys, you’re peeing in the wind if you think the SCB are going to do anything at all about this.

They publicly issued a statement that they were going to make a full investigation into the failure of Mildenhall to get a team for the season ending final league match at Eastbourne last year, which resulted in a call off 24 hrs before the event and caused a fair bit of annoyance to fans, it being the last meeting of the season.

Have we had any report on their “full investigation” ? No.

I no longer have any faith in the statements from the speedway authorities.

Maybe the Speedway Star investigative journalist can look into this matter too?

I should have posted this here - my apologies.

The only surprise is that new promoters, who promised a different way of doing things, make the same mistakes ( perhaps knowingly ) as so many before them. Hiding behind dubious excuses that might prove to be lies, is the way to erode whatever support you have gathered to date. Tell the whole truth, tell it promptly and fully and you may well avoid the worst of the fallout. Going the other way is to enter a storm of criticism.

I see Adam rode last night in Denmark scored 9 points .

He is probably going to miss loads of meetings this is going to end in disaster for my beloved Brummies i am afraid.

I have a feeling i will be more regular at Monmore every Monday soon .

I wouldn`t think he will miss any more meetings for Birmingham - he was probably committed to this fixture in Denmark whereas future priority is for Birmingham. They wouldn`t have signed him if he couldn`t do the fixtures.

Unless of course they've also signed him so when he isn't there they can pick and choose from virtually the whole of the league who to guest for them....

Anyhow, any news from the site how the 'leccy' is?

i would imagine they have been working 24/7 to fix it..
