greyhoundp
The NL agm is only a few days away, what decisions do people want/expect to be made, for me its about the make up of the League, with doubts about Birmingham, Eastbourne, Mildenhall, Coventry, will there be any teams coming into the league ie Cradley Heathens, there doesnt appear to be any other Teams in the pipeline, so it maybe that the NL could be down to 6 teams, and with Plymouth warning that a low points limit could give doubts to there participation, it could be even less.. I would like to see Cradley Heathens return to League racing in 2019 as Monmore appear to have enough dates to allow that to happen.
cityrebel
The points limit and how many teams are going to participate in the NL are the two big questions.

Don't think you'll be seeing them next season. According to their Facebook page, their main director has pulled out on health grounds, and the rest don't have the resources to continue the venture currently. If they were thinking of using Odsal, I'd be suprised if anyone had the resources.
old bob at herne bay
With so few teams (6?) putting together a worthwhile fixture list for each club. Season could be very short if it’s just 6 league matches and a KO cup

Season could be very short if it’s just 6 league matches and a KO cup Why are people thinking 6 or fewer NL teams? Reckon there could be 9. Birmingham should be moving up, so that's one team lost. Also Eastbourne are moving up, but there could yet be a twist with the Eagles also maintaining a NL interest. Almost definite: Kent, Isle of Wight, Belle Vue, Stoke Highly likely: Buxton, Plymouth, Leicester (rebranding of Coventry) Possibles: Two more clubs running a second team. One needed in the North and one in the South (Eagles II) Unlikely: MIldenhall The biggest problem now for the NL is the points limit. With fewer than last year's 10 teams, the points limit needs to go up slightly. 9 teams at 40 points? However this will not happen. There are promoters in the BSPA Championship who want to destroy the NL, and they will force a suicide limit of 35 or 36.

I definitely can’t see a second eagles team appearing and where would this new Northern team run from?! Also I think there has to be a big question mark over Leicester running a second team with the original intention of them doing that if they were in the top flight still riding midweek. mac101
On the Leicester video just put up with the interview from team manager stewart Dickson they are hoping to run a NL team and mentioned the Thompson twins would be riding for them but will be confirmed soon Edited November 25, 2018 by mac101
Londonfan
Speedway Star last week suggested there could be an 11th hour bid to run a NL team at Rye House next year. Anyone heard anything about this?
teaboy279
Deffo want to keep the 7 man teams and current 15 heat format. Would like to see NL Clubs who sign a rider before a championship side, get priority on that rider. I believe the limit was too low this year, so with potentially less teams a big increase in the building limit is required. But at least 42, otherwise there will be riders no where nr ready to step up but averages too high to ride NL completely frozen out the sport ala Jacob's and Knight. More thought but yet urgency in setting fixtures and potential rain off dates. More transparency, the top leagues freeze out the amateurish National D League clubs. So let's lead the way here, have regular information about the goings on within the league put out to the public, have decisions explained to the public so it removes doubts, rumours, and bad feeling. Let's show the big leagues how to use social media as a tool and lead the way into a new exciting era for speedway..... Let Barry Bishop chair the meeting, and let decisions be made for the good of the sport not the perceived interests of individual clubs.

Couldn't agree more about the transparency needs actual official released coverage including the outcomes. Examples that spring to mind are Eastbourne vs Mildenhall & Steve Boxall. Each one should have been given one club press release stating their own case, a bspa/scb press release stating the the verdict/punishment and then its case closed. As things stand its always whispers and rumours, get stuff out in the open, even the bad stuff openly discussed dispels any rumours that things are worse. Mike.Butler
is it too much to ask that we have a standard set of rules re tactical switches/replacements etc during matches across all leagues?
