Big Al
Have the promters of this league collectively done a very good job by raising the overall quality of this league whilst increasing the number of teams and working to a low points limit? The league has lost Erik Riss, Adam Ellis, Rene Bach, Ludvig Lindgren, Nicolai Klindt and Dan Bewley (to take just those with 6+ averages who ended the season in their teams' declared 1-7's). Others have gone due to retirement, not returning, or had left their teams' during the season for reasons other than retirement or injury. The league in 2019 will re-gain Kennett, Sedgmen, Kerr, Douglas and Bates plus 5 or 6 others with previous experience in the PL. Then there are 12 or 13 newcomers (some of whom have a small amount of previous experience). This group is going to be significant in terms of how good the 2019 league is, compared with the 2018 version. Some teams (Eastbourne, Glasgow, Scunthorpe, Somerset, Eastbourne) are including at least two newcomers to the league - will this turn out to be the undoing of those clubs or are there some potential big averqge-gainers in there? Overall my view is that by the end of the season, the changes made this winter will be viewed as a success.
uk_martin
RIP Workington Comets. Get ready for a rider merry-go-round and big edits being needed to the team line-ups.
HGould
Re Big Al, Some NL riders coming up full time or for full season will be a big asset and could easily double (or better) their averages, Drew Kemp / Tom Brennan / Leon Flint would in my opinion all be capable of an average in excess of 6 in the Championship by the end of the season. There are the likes of Connor Mountain, Georgie Wood; James Shanes who will need to "kick on" with them having some more CL experience than the out and out newcomers. It has to be great for the sport to see so many moving up and gaining experience, the cream will rise to the top, the remainder will either find a level and become solid performers, a few will find it too much (either too soon or for now). Very interesting season ahead.

Those three young lads you mentioned are really promising but to average over 6 in there first full season at that level is a big ask.I dont see Flint doing it if he can average 4 that would be a great season.Yes the other two in my opinion are the two i believe can really kick on and have a good career. This league is still a tough one, different challenges for the younger lads the good thing is most clubs have riders at the bottom end all trying to prove this is there level.A few will fall away and struggle but some will relish the challenge but good luck to all of them. For me Kemp/Brennan are future Prem riders they will do well but the two that interest me are Rowe/ Atkins at Somerset Anders being a Swindon asset i hope he kicks on and will be a future Robin.Shanes and Mountain will improve and Danyon Hume if he stays injury free will eventually get his chance again.
