Ideally needs someone proven consistent points per match and a good gater capable of averaging at least 8. But the 4-pointer to finish the team off won't be Sarjeant. (And this all presumes Bates average will be reduced further). Is Dickson trying to put together a side that has echoes of 2011 Glasgow? Big Al
There's a scarcity of 4-4.5 point riders out there, and they'd need one of those to ensure that Mountain starts the season at reserve and have anything approaching a strong No.2. Nathan Greaves is the only one I can see, after Sarjeant being confirmed by Glasgow, or dare I say Simon Lambert. 5-6 average it looks like a few more to choose from - but that would mean another at 6-6.5 to complete the side. 40-38
Confirmed as Ritchie Worrall. Good signing I think.
GoldenGauntlet
I'm happy with the signing of Richie Worrall - I think he'll be a strong heat leader for us next year.
Mr Bump
I agree, big average though. Doesn’t leave much to play with

Teromaafan
According to the Speedway GB website Worrell's average is 8.00. Based on that we have 3.38 left for the last rider. Connor Mountain's average is 3.57 who we were led to believe by the team manager would be one of the strongest reserves in the league. With only 3.38 left he would not be riding at reserve. Am I missing something?

IF Bates is 5.88 as posted somewhere....he would have 4.47 left including a Brit discount, or 4.37 for non Brit. But who is there? Greaves, Lambert, Perks. If Bates is 6.48 though, that comes down to 3.67 left. So I hope he has something clever in store. Like Jason Crump on 4.00
stevethelion
News on Lions twitter says that they hope to conclude the team within the next 72 hours as an issue has developed with their intended rider which they hope to resolve. GoldenGauntlet
Could the issue be not having enough points left to sign them?

There were rumours that the landfill seal was broken (illegally) when the track drainage tanks were installed - but I must stress they are rumours

Does the 2.5% reduction apply to Scott Nicholls? I've been presuming it doesn't because I don't think he was ever in the CL or NL. Or maybe he was? But confusion seems to be reigning over whether the 2.5% reduction eligibility is for that, or if it's given just for being British. If his average is reducable by 2.5%, that would give an extra 0.21 to the points left for rider 7. Maybe they are trying to get Jan Graversen in - but I think he'd need the CL/NL reduction in addition to Scott's Brit reduction!!

Still to be clarified but would seem illogical if it didnt apply to Scott but did to Schlein for example (who may qualify under the criteria in the agm statement) Scott had a short time in the 2nd tier at the start but never in the 3rd

Could be that or could be they are trying to get a reduction on Josh Bates average after missing a year.

I maybe wrong, but I’m sure you only get a reduction for a full seasons absence if was due to a “ Speedway injury “ and not any other, for example, sledging

If they have come up against a problem with the rulebook it could cause a re-think about the middle of the team because I wouldn't expect Nicholls, Worrall, Mountain and Thomas to be changed.
