Don't think he'll do enough matches to get an average, sure he'll be a reserve on 2.00 for Eastbourne next year and really needs another year in the NL, establish himself as a heat leader there, and then do a full season in both leagues next year.

Having watched Edwards since he was 12 he needs to establish himself education wise and his speedway.

Jumping into the current CL won’t do him any favours and probably do more harm than good.

Typical - had concerns about Worrall when Poole's track was in a bad state - now it's been sorted (I believe) he gets involved in an accident there with a team mate.

What are we looking at? Rest of season out? Would Nick Morris be eligible as replacement?

A big blow for Leicester losing Richie to a bad ankle break .......hopefully good guests can cover , I'm counting on the Lions to stop Glasgow from running away with it all ;)

Come on Julie ,half the Glasgow team were comets, come and support them ;)

I would not want Nick Morris at any cost - he is a liability at Leicester!!

No, his PL average drops to 5.84 on 1st July, which converts to 8.76 . Richie is 8.49, but drops to 8.25 on 1st July. The interview with Stewart Dickson on the Lions Facebook page says he will use guests for July, then see how Richie is progressing.

Wing and a prayer for the two Eastbourne cup matches then, and make sure of good guests for the two home league matches - especially v Glasgow! I don't know if there are any away league matches in July but there's enough of a cushion now to withstand defeats if there are any.

Morris used to have a reputation as a Leicester track specialist, I can well remember him "doing" us a few times back in the old PL days.

I think Eastbourne may have missed the boat as he signed for Mildenhall so they own his contract. I know that as the Brummies had a look at Jason when we made reserve change but Stoneman was preferred.

Are you sure? I understood Jason Signed for Eastbourne last year?

How fortunes have changed for Charles Wright and Nick Morris !!!

Possibly Richard Sweetmans best performance at Beaumont Park

Possibly Richard Sweetmans only performance for Glasgow, he was pretty awful and only really remembered for being photographed going head first over the first bend fence in a crash with Aaron Summers.

That year we won the league carrying Sweetman, winning home and away but the resultant wage bill almost finished us.

LEICESTER have moved to avoid a fixture backlog by adding new dates to their schedule – and it means a bumper month ahead!

Fans are urged to make a careful note of the dates as they have moved away from some Saturday dates in order to keep on track.
The high-flying Watling JCB Lions will now face Edinburgh at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena on Wednesday July 17.
They are in Friday night action this weekend when Eastbourne visit in the second leg of their Knockout Cup tie with British legend Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris lined up as a guest for Richie Worrall – and they face Berwick on Sunday, July 14 (4 pm).
The National League side, Leicester Lion Cubs, have two Tuesday dates on July 23 against Plymouth and July 30 against Isle of Wight – both at 7.30.
Boss Stewart Dickson said: “A combination of circumstances mean we have been forced to arrange meetings away from our regular Saturday night raceday.
“It means a busy July and a great opportunity for fans to see plenty of racing throughout the month.
“When we get into August we’ll start to see more Saturday meetings again.”
The club would urge fans to keep checking the club website if they have any doubt about fixture dates and their social media channels are updated regularly every day with information.

LEICESTER SPEEDWAY JULY HOME FIXTURES:
Fri 5 v Eastbourne (KOC) 7.30
Sun 14 v Berwick (Champ) 4pm
Wed 17 v Edinburgh (Champ) 7.30
Tues 23 v Plymouth (NL) 7.30
Sat 27 v Glasgow (Champ) 7.30
Tue 30 v Isle of Wight (NL) 7.30

Wouldn’t it be helpful if Jack replaced Perks in the NL side to give the lad a bit of confidence?

It's not the confidence he needs,it's paying is what he needs. It's ridiculous that he has to take a break from the sport because he hasn't been paid. He's not the only one.Problem is for others if they say they refuse to ride because of non payment they are hit with a 28 day ban.

There seriously needs to be something done about clubs running and not paying the riders.it happens too often and nothing seems to get done about it.Why!!! Rye house still owe the riders from last year there money but are still running training tracks and earning money.ridiculous .
