I think Gollob objected to Kirkmanshulme Lane much more than Monmore Green.

So he was bad at Wolves and disliked Belle Vue even more yet still averaged nearly 9.5 in a league where most teams contained 2 GP riders

Wasnt too shabby overall then...... :)

British Speedway will never see that kind of level again.... not for another 10 years or so at the very least...

Doubling up will take 10 years to sort out, the Championship/National league need to be joined but then split into a North/South division, Amateur speedway or at least low points money, needs to attract young british riders of the future.... then the Premiership if there is a top league to go with it needs to be a 12 team semi pro level... tracking to run on any day they wish, ideally Thursday-Sunday speedway, £8-£10 speedway

Will never happen, it's more likely to be one small league with part timers in ten years time. Crowds are dwindling and clubs are closing, that unfortunately is the reality of it...

It wasn't a criticism, I have never seen him ride either track.  I have just heard tales of Gollob being rather unimpressed on first visit to Manchester greyhound stadium

M Zagar is another who hated Kirky lane, how we managed to get him to ride for us there, I have no idea but, he came to love the place.

Just as an aside did anyone see the pictures from the WA state title meeting in Oz?

Nice 'retro' racesuit for Cam - one at least 5 years old. Id say that shows his training programme is on track :t:

Good to see! A fit and hungry (no not in that sense ) Cameron Heeps will be a very handy reserve for us no doubt in my mind at all.

In fact, a Heeps/Allen pairing is one area of the team I think we’d ALL agree is a strong one.

Me neither. I only cheered for him once after his 3rd exclusion at the British gp.

My favourite crump race was when Tony Rickardsson team rode Toni svab home at Peterborough.

Tony pinned him to the line and took him to the fence and just totally outrode him on his home track
