Yesterday was such a shame for Peterborough (Johnson and the other Boro riders) but I think the fans should be proud of the display they gave.  There was some good racing and they all looked as though they were giving it every effort.  Even Agertoft & Morley who must have known they'd be unlikely to score, turned up at short notice and gave it a shot.  Well done Panthers!

yep, agertoft got better every race, and to be fair although didn't look like troubling danny in 3rd in heat 13 he really wasn't that far behind, no more so than a top flight reserve might be expected to be - certainly looks like in a year or two could be good!

Just got back from a long trip with no WiFi and catching up..as if the season couldn't get any worse!?..that meeting last night should never have gone ahead and Panthers should be fined by the ACU for team they put out..I've never even heard of one of them!..discusting all round from riders to promotion and one more nail in the coffin of a train wreck of a season..must be some kind of record for amount of losses..well done Buster and the team for totally F###### our club over.

So as the current British Champion suppose now he gets to chose the meetings he wants to ride in.

If he stays fit he could win something at Redcar (his favourite Track according to your program)

I will be attending your last 2 meetings, hope you win them

Who would you have chosen as guests?

The meeting shouldn't have taken place..

It did the sport zero favours and renders the whole competition completely irrelevant if it is held in such disregard and contempt by those who organise it.

The riders got the chance of another pay cheque though and I suppose that's the Number One reason the sport exists (in the UK) these days..

Ostergaard, Becker, Morley, Agertoft. You’ve ‘never even heard of one of them’?

• Peterborough stalwart for many years

• 2019 Wolverhampton rider

• 2018 Lakeside rider (did we race then at all last year?)

• Agertoft as a CL reserve I accept may be off your radar.

Given the timing of the rider withdrawals, and the other fixtures last night - what would you suggest?

And no, postponement wasn’t an option.....

I don't blame the promotion at all and the fans at the track witnessed a decent meeting.

Completely agree...and to have that many bull#### excuses from so many riders shows the lack of respect that this management/promotion commands...and then to tell these lies to the fans is unforgivable.

Then no one in authority within British Speedway can ever moan about a lack of mainstream media coverage Neil..

Nor can they complain about a lack of blue chip company sponsorship for their teams and the league as a whole..

Imagine, for example, Tesco sponsoring the Panthers? Their brand will be linked to such nonsense that is allowed to pervade week in week out within Speedway and therefore could become damaged by its association..

Ultimately this means there is no way these major companies would get involved with something so devoid of any credibility in the context of a bona fide National Sporting Championship..

In fact it probably is good news to a large degree that it is constantly ignored by the wider media given its so open to ridicule.

Imagine Poland running Speedway like this with the exposure they get every week? Believe me, it wouldn't get anywhere near the same wall to wall coverage, fan base or sponsorship from national companies if they did..

Two months of what we accept over here would see a collapse of their Leagues and crowds akin to the GB levels as TV companies and sponsors would drop it like a stone..

If you can't do something properly then probably best not to do it at all as, with all things, you are only as good as your weakest link..

And Speedway in the UK have more weak links due to its operating model than is good for the brand..

That's good...

Maybe next week they could start with a blank piece of paper and let the fans pick two septets?

Foxhall specialists obviously..

Do it to a 42.5 point total team average and you would have some great racing I would suggest, never mind decent..

Maybe call one team 'Ipswich' and the other team 'Poole' and the winners can get either three points or four points towards a National Title..

You know, thinking about it in more detail...

14 track specialists at every meeting in the UK, and lots of rides for the riders to earn as much as they can before enjoying their winter, ticks two major boxes there..

The only down side could be seeing the same 14 track specialists time and time again at your track but that could be spiced up a bit by swapping them around and mixing them up between the two teams each week..

Which to be fair, isn't a million miles away from what happens now so shouldn't pose too much of a problem..

Could catch on this..

I can understand to a degree those that were put off by the Peterborough line up and decided to keep their money in their pockets. I seriously thought about it too TBF. But those that did decide to stay away missed a pretty decent meeting.

Ive looked forward to some great looking fixtures this season and on a lot of occasions I’ve walked out of the stadium disappointed at what was served up. This was the opposite. Maybe because the expectations were low who knows

Just goes to show that you never know

That comment is what lies at the heart of the dwindling support on the terraces, certainly in my experience over the last three seasons at King's Lynn. Dwindling VFM in the racing put on in too many matches.

I think he's suggesting just Agertoft he hasn't heard of hence 'never even heard of ONE of them '

Fair point, apologies if I misunderstood.

No problems..I'm surprised you are kind of fighting their corner after the legacy you and Ged left got "tampered" with because of ulterior motives..I really can't wait for this season to end and hopefully someone comes in and rescues us from this hell and corruption.
