Really need a decent guest to stand any sort of a chance, certainly want an improvement on today's feeble effort , was this some sort of payback by Glasgow?

5 rides is truly shocking...but how does a manager motivate a guest who isn't good enough......I actually got the heebie jeebies when I saw it was gonna be Starke...just hopeless and isn't a Ty...........think you have hit the nail on it's head re Glasgow gregory peck........and I can't see us doing so well again v Lakeside away......my glass is half full tho...ha.

That's a poor effort from the Comets, I would have expected something like this IF we'd ridden both meetings last night but to go in fresh and still deliver this is very disappointing?

Poor guest in Starke, surely all of the best NL rider's can't have finished for the season?

We've certainly made this very difficult for ourselves at this point in time but, it's not insurmountable, we will have to be well on the ball tho whatever come Thursday so.... let's see what happens!! ;)

Certainly not all over but Scunny will be favourites - they will be delighted with a lead that big

That's what Edinburgh thought with a bigger advantage :)

Scunny  - the outclassed Philips apart - were very solid indeed while Workington relied on the brilliant Jensen and Campton. Klindt, Starke & Bach were poor, although Bach at least tried hard.

Cracking meeting :approve:, with the highlight surely Campton's astonishing pass of Garrity & Manzares in heat 12. He came from nowhere to take them both on the inside with a remarkable turn of speed and its definitely one of the best moves I have seen anywhere this season.

Scorpions top four better than Monarchs sadly for us.

Great entertainment... as said by HT, some cracking racing... This on a well prepared, if a little slicker than normal ewr.

Jensen again showing his liking to the track, he's been quite outstanding on his visits this year.  Mason Campton too was easily Comets second best rider, that heat 12 win was pretty special, what a great race. The other Comets were on the pace but generally got beat up on first two turns.

For Scunny, the combo of Garrity and Allen were superb... 5-1's in each of their three rides together. Decent guest in Wells, who along with Nielsen, Worrall and Manzares all put good solid scores on the board. Danny Phillips, to his credit, tried hard with no reward.

So 18 point lead... still all to play for.

It was Starke who was second in heat 1, not Bach as stated on Updates

I had the comments the right way round, just mistyped they finshinf order.

On another note, that pass by Campton was simply outstanding! Scunny certainly looked up for it and fully deserve their lead. Jensen was on top form and I expect the Comets to be a completely different beast on Thursday. Btw Jorgensen will be the Scorpions’ guest

Excellent meeting and a large crowd, all the Scunny riders except Phillips who was way off the pace again contributed in building an 18 point lead but will it be enough, surely Klindt who if he doesn't make the gate is useless and Bach who did at least try can't score as bad at home ,Jensen was brilliant and Campton had his moments especially in heat 12, superb pass, Starke terrible guest and 5 rides? wtf. should be a good 2nd leg, wish Workington was nearer.

Not a lot can be said about this meeting as its already been said. A brilliant meeting!  All our lads appeared up for it. A massive well done, that 18pt lead ….VERY HANDY! Just hope its enough.....Scorps you can only do your best now. Hopefully you can bring the cup home to Scunny…..   Good luck for Thursday.
