Run cup matches , shields etc up until mid July then have league programme with one round each with the grand final done and dusted by middle of September. Create like a t20 cricket concept of fun. What they should be aiming for is to bring the sport up to an amateur level. This can be done by scraping team speedway, getting a mainstream motorcycle manufactuerer involved, standadise equipment and getting the the riders to pay to participate. This happens in the majority of amateur motorsport and for the organisers ensures profitability and continuity for their sports. So what about the professional side of speedway in the UK. Edit - looks like they've changed the Friday for a Tuesday! So potentially Poole could do a Friday. Would actually suit me better too, no after school activities that day! Geting a couple of hundred of 30/40 (and above) year olds would be a bit easier to achieve than getting kids and their parents there.. Do it via a professional social media campaign and start some constant engagement with your potential customer base.. The professional promoters have proved what they can really do for the sport of speedway in the UK over the last - let's say 20 years ( this century ) and we can all see the results for ourselves. That's who the promoters need to target, those who could be tempted.
