On that occasion Poole booked Morris for their home leg and Ellis away, the reason being Morris' average would have been too high to use him at King's Lynn. However, once it was realised Ellis had been booked to ride for the Stars in the Poole leg both promotions agreed that it would have been daft to have a rider turn out for both sides in a final. Still against the rules, whether clubs agree or not

As daft as two Swindon riders lining up in a Playoff final, for different teams, neither of which were their own?
marko
Yes im sure it probably didn't sit too well with Robins fans seeing the front cover of last weeks Star with their rider celebrating with Poole having won the league.

It's ridiculous that the SCB and BSPA agreed to break their own rules. They should have told the clubs that they had to comply with the rules. It was so easy, either they use r/r or KL use Morris and Poole use Ellis, or, another guest who had an eligible average.

Im sure its frustrating at Rye for multiple reasons but try to support your club, try to keep your club afloat in any format, its so much harder to re-launch a club. Good luck in the future and of course tonight.
