No falling out needed! I like the playoffs even when Poole don't win them. It's an exciting end to the season!

And I was completely gutted when Poole lost in 2010 to Coventry but you know what I posted 'well done Coventry' on the same night, shame some KL fans couldn't do the same. But if they want to hold on to their bitterness than that's up to them!

Anyone else and in any other circumstances we would accept the defeat gracefully I’m sure.

Not many. Even Steve Shovlar couldn't bring himself to do the usual match report and disappeared.

Well they're a bunch of happy clappers who seem to think that League Speedway in the UK (and all other clubs) is only here so they can win the league every year, by any means neccessary. Sadly the BSPA agree.

If you want a team to win the league by any means possible, in 2018 King's Lynn take that honour. Poole kept their noses pretty clean in 2018 and I think that's why Middleditch put this down to one of his greatest league title wins. There's nothing that can be pointed at them. King's Lynn can be thanked for instigating the use of Morris in the 2nd leg over the points limit.

Poole won the title in 2018 fair and square, they should be congratulated. King's Lynn proved in the KO Cup just how weak they are in the middle order and reserve. Injuries were not an excuse for Poole winning, again proven by their KO Cup final performances.

If a reserve is used as an excuse it just proves how poor the team is as a whole. MPT being missing isn't the reason King's Lynn ended up without a trophy. Middle order to weak, 2nd reserve to weak, and the management clueless.

Can't take you seriously anymore with your anti King's Lynn agenda.

Even Poole fans surely would agree that 3 points, 2 points and 2 points from an inform reserve hit Lynn big time.. And 2 of the 3 where at home

It was so obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense,   our season finished the instant Jakobsen took MPT out to which resulted in a broken wrist.   The effect on the Lynn team was massive.   MPT was irreplaceable.... As good as Robert has performed this year,  it was not until we signed Erik Riss did the team start to perform.  The MAIN reason for this is that in MPT we had a quality rider at reserve, someone who could cover extra rides when his team-mates faltered.    Eliminating our strongest link was  catastrophic ,  and finding a replacement  has proved impossible....

Because of the monumental effect this instance had on the proceedings  I feel it is wrong that a rider can commit an offence of this nature and walk away scot free, regardless of intent or accidental .  In football and other sports the offending person  can be  penalised, and be banned for future matches.    Probably,  if there was a reprimand of this nature,   some riders would be more aware of the consequences of wayward riding...

NB this is not a dig at Poole or Jakobsen,   but I think riders should shoulder some responsibility when incidents like this happens....

Unbelievable! You want someone banned for an accident, not like he just completely rode into him. From the side and back angle it looks 50/50. What if MPT didn't get injured? Would you still want Jakobsen banned? Or is it purely based on if someone picks up an injury, not actually the incident?

Wow I have heard it all now!

A rider attempting to make a perfectly legal pass might have to have second thoughts, in a split second in a playoff final, incase the rider he is passing might fall off. This isn’t tiddly winks.

MPT  left a big gap and Jakobsen did what any other rider would have done. MPT was at fault for leaving the gap. Had he stayed on the inside Jakobsen would have been blocked.

That is ridiculous and that is not what happens in football a player doesn't get banned for accidental challenges it has to be deemed intentional and dangerous. Accidents like the MPT one happen all the time in speedway, if riders got penalised for it there would be even less passing.

Speedway lacks passing as it is, throw rider's out for unintentional injuries will just encourage 15 heats of gating and just ride in the middle of the track.

It was purely a racing incident and nothing else. If any finger are to be pointed, it should be the management for inadequate guests, not the opposition.

Most would agree that losing MPT was bad luck, but to suggest Jakobsen should be banned is just silly, the League is being diluted every year, let's not sanitize it aswell.
