Oh well thats the final done and dusted

Nick Morris goes better at Poole than Ellis in the main as 14 points from number one shows on a visit there earlier in the season and he certainly goes better than Ellis at Lynn, Poole have benefitted from being able to use Morris at Kings Lynn thats pretty obvious.

Kurtz 6.75.............replaced by Morris 6.74

Iversen 7.36...........replaced by Ellis 6.47

That shows the advantage Poole have but they can only beat whats in front of them

Hope Kings Lynn can overcome the loss and at least make a spectacle of the final

Plus don't forget Gavan, Morris is better than Kurtz hahahahaha

And a few hours ago you said the final was ruined.....................Poole can use an illegal rider and all is rosy again..........fickle

Lets hope Kings Lynn can rise above the Poole shenanigans

Of course it was. But common sense has prevailed and its now fixed.

Come on you Pirates!

What both teams agree too is completely and utterly irrelevant. This is meant to be a professional sport, not a Sunday morning game of football.. actually scrap that, illegal players wouldn't be allowed in any form of competitive game either even if 'both teams agreed'.

Reading the statement on the BSPA website, the rules have been amended slightly to allow this (presumably with regard to the 5% only applying at home).

Consequently, Poole's side is not illegal in the away leg anyway. It is within the rules and has been approved by the BSPA and the SCB.

So... happy, no problem.

It's corrupt then. A governing body, yet again waving rules.

It may be a sensible thing to do, but rules should be adhered too.. the sport will never learn.

A better and more sensible solution would have been to have told Lynn they can’t use either rider as both had a deal with Poole. Use r/r or another guest. Fair and sensible.

Better for you as it would have rendered Lynn uncompetitive but no fairer as it would also have ignored the rule book.

Your a Poole fan..................you dont mind rule breaking......................all in the best interest of the sport of course......or Poole

This sort of thing can open up a can of worms.

Who are the Speedway Control Board and the BSPA, to sanction this when you could have decided the best option

Where Steves comment does have some credence is in that the rewritten regs shouldve had the caveat re the guest situation that was written into the cup section also added to the play off section

With some forethought the whole situation would not have arisen

Ah yes thats right

The 'common sense' that now heavily swings the tie in Pooles favour using Swindons number one , where Lynn have to replace their number two and gp rider with Swindons 4th best rider

Win at all cost Pirates ........all in the best interests of the sport

Not unless it has changed in the last 30 mins.

Edit. It has changed. Lynn are now 4/5 and Poole 7/5.

Lynn still favourites though and rightly so.

So Lynn are 5/4 on then!   ;)

Let’s make one thing very clear with people using facts and figures - up to 27th September Nick Morris average is 6.74 - Brady is 6.75 this is confirmed on the Swindon speedway site!

And your point is?

Means they are both of similar standard

Ellis isnt as good as Iversen, as the averages clearly show.............meaning Lynn are weaker...........even more so now that the rules have been changed to help Poole
