Whilst I expect this to be close, those line ups show the decline in a "top flight" play off fixture

Too true Colin, only 2 riders out of 14 that could be considered anything like household speedway names, both at opposite ends of their respective careers, although if NKI had been fit that would have made it 3.

We could still get 2 well contested meetings though, that's the main thing, some decent racing to tide us over through the long close season.

very true, im sure it will be close and entertaining. but I guess some poole fans must think "I paid less to watch ricko, loram, crump etc"

British Speedway vice-chairman Rob Godfrey said: “There was a serious risk of damaging the credibility of our sport because of the guest riders switching clubs after the first leg.

“We all agreed this cannot be allowed to happen at a time when the sport is enjoying such a high profile with a British World Champion crowned at the weekend.

It clearly say's above and I quote 'We all agreed this cannot be allowed to happen'

Rob Godfrey and credibility in the same sentence!!!!! Your having a giraffe!!!

Because Poole can now use a rider that should be ineligible for the second leg

How when his GSA has finished at 6.74? Which includes all September meetings. The issue has come about because the cut off was 25th September when his ‘official average ‘ for team building is 6.74 for 2019 so that was looked at when making the decision.

Ellis will score more than NKI at Poole, he performs very badly at Poole but KL will miss his scores in the return as can’t see Adam scoring the same.

Thank goodness it's deemed completely credible to watch two Swindon riders racing against each other, after spending all season long riding as Swindon team mates,  who will now try and win titles for two teams, neither of which are Swindon...

Phew...

Well done the BSPA...

Could have been a tad embarrassing if they hadn't sorted it so well...

Just heard a rumour that Micky mouse is being flown in to present to cup to the winners on Wednesday lol

Good luck to the 2 Robis Ellis and Morris. I reckon Adam could outscore Nick over the 2 legs, especially at Lynn.

Will go 48-42 to Poole, then 49-41 to Lynn.

When Rob Godfrey said " There was a serious risk of the credibility of the sport being damaged " did he do it with a straight face ?

About 20-25 Lynn fans on the second bend. Just said hi to Trees. There fans seem confident of at least getting a draw tonight if not a win.

Crowd building nicely. Spoke to Nigel Pearson. He said BTarr more than happy with covering speedway. Expecting large viewing figures tonight as no live football.
