Could be, but with the money lost, there was no way they could afford to bring him back again, unless a big sponsor could be found.

There again, I would point out again that some of the racing even in the first half of that season with Lewis Bridger coming from the back was good, but fans at that time wren't appeased with good racing, they only wanted a winning team. Sometimes you just can't win.

Could be wrong but weren't they planning to re-sign him only to be hugely gazumped by Lakeside who promised Nick a shedload of money - most of which he was never paid. Maybe Berwick's problem is that they pay up. Would it be better to offer the moon and then deliver a bit of scorched earth?

Hey you guys!

Your club runs on a tight budget and is +1 in the table, with the majority of your home matches still to come.

A club up the road a bit, with millions in the bank, has just crashed out of the KO Cup, so you're doing OK.

Smile!

You will be supporting Edinburgh with 2 more Aussies

Off the back of his good score at Somerset last night Jye Etheridge has picked up a guest booking at Redcar tomorrow night riding for the injury hit Birmingham Brummies.

No he hasn't. His average is too high to Guest for Ashley Morris as was the plan.
