We were willing to go to you as requested on 6 October a Saturday night even though you'd all miss watching Cookie on the tele and remember apparently that's why you wanted Friday nights (give me strength). We wanted to hold the second leg as per the rules so to try and speed up things we suggested Sunday the 7th the day after, a day we have ridden on as it is our alternative race day, ask Edinburgh. You don't have a fixture on the 7th and now with his injury we'd be missing our top rider two days running and you are still behaving like a pudding with chips on both shoulders. Do you not realise that acting like this the NL promoters won't want to touch you with a barge pole. If you can't run fixtures due to rider availability, stadium availability, money availability you shouldnt be in a league never mind the championship. 1

Questions need to be asked of the promotions causing delays in the cup competitions. Why are cup matches being left so late in the season to arrange?! Also, why should the BSPA step in and say the Play offs should be 5/6/7 Oct when there is a perfectly good weekend the one before where (injuries permitting) it appears all teams would have their riders available?! Albeit Workington have since arranged to race Edinburgh in the cup. They knew the situation with the play offs before Edinburgh qualified for the next round of the cup. At the end of the day, everything points towards Workington delaying things unnecessarily. No issues with the other teams still involved! 3 hours ago, tyretrax said: Don't really care which days are used, but why is it on one hand Worky fans want to see Cookie and on the other hand they want Glasgow on a G.P. weekend? Think you will find that Workington offered Saturday 6th of October as a viable date!!! Which was declined by Glasgow, so BSPA not required for that are they The Edinburgh semi final is this weekend 28th at Armadale Stadium and 29th at Dewent Park which had been pre arranged by all three teams who could compete in that semi final at the time of arranging a date, Edinburgh wanted the earliest date possible and Workington and Newcastle accommodated them Also Workington may feel this weekend would be a better option with a crocked Cookie and did i not read on here somewhere that Bomber is not available as he is riding in a final of a long track event somewhere so maybe the Monarchs are "The fly in the ointment" they seem to get the blame for everything else. Tyretrax has possibly answered his own question as the Worky faithful would be happy to see Cookie at DP they welcome all the local lads and always have done Rich Lawson Dan Bewley Adam Roynon Kyle Bickley "et al" even the juniors as they are fiercely loyal and like to see what they consider as "Their own" doing well and they always receive warm welcomes even when they come calling with the opposition, however as it has been stated on here "ad nauseam" they are restricted on dates and no matter how much moaning is done they can only do what they can do Possibly Regards THJ
allthegearbutnaeidea
So Workington... who don’t want to ride Saturdays when there is a GP on because of Craig Cook being in the GP’s and who couldn’t finish their league fixtures at home, now want to ride on a GP Saturday against the team with Craig Cook ahahahahahaha you couldn’t make it up min, suddenly there’s a rush...

Comets, enjoying great success this year, have 7 known outstanding fixtures (home and away in the League, KO Cup, and Diddy Shield plus a league match against Lakeside). Of these 7, only 2 are currently included under "Fixtures" on their website and there have been, so far as I am aware, no public statements concerning this situation. This hardly reflects a promotion doing everything in their power to "do what they can do". Do they not understand other teams' fans' frustration at not being able to plan to follow their team? And do they not want to give as much forward information in order to maximise income from visiting fans?

Lakeside and Peterborough still on for the treble and appear to have their fixtures booked in. Well I say that, apart from Lakesides league fixture against Workington which has still to be arranged. That’ll be Lakeside’s fault. Workington can do no wrong!!
