bellevueace
I said I thought the Rebels would come up short over the two legs but was expecting them to at least take a 6 to 8 point lead into the second leg, never been a fan of Lawson, tonight showed why, a big disappointment on his home track, not great returns from Holder or Allen either. It was a good meeting with some good racing, especially Doyle. Riders were saying it was a bit slicker than usual, did that catch the home side out a bit? Taking the home leg first was a bit of a gamble and it didn't pay off, I can see a comfy home win for Poole in the second leg.

Nobody outstanding but solid right through the team. Somerset carried by Doyle. Think Garry May is clutching at straws to think Somerset will be close at Poole. Poole will win comfortably at home, by 12-15 then go on to win the Play-Off title once again Yep. Poole will beat Lynn or BV over 2 legs imho. Hope NKI is ok

I am not anti Poole it was just an opinion. Well done to your team but only half time. Poole in the driving seat. I'd still take the first leg at home but you need the home team to fire. Tonight they didn't.
RebelDan
A gentle reminder to the minority of the cocksure Poole fans - Somerset have already won at Poole this season .......
acef
Surprised by the result. Perhaps the lack of experience in this environment proved pivotal for Somerset. All over bar the shouting.

magnificentseven
Somerset badly let down by Holder and Lawson. May just seemed happy to have the Rebels in the play offs - Poole more up for it and the better team on the night. really disappointing for the Rebels fans. BWD & Allen have thrown a point away each but you have to expect that from riders starting the season on sub 4 point averages. Is that a typo as they were both over 4 at start and still are. Jonas was lowest on 4.00 at start.
Bald Bloke
I reckon there is few Poole fans who went to this, ain't got home yet. I think we have a few to come . Gavan
Lol all the Poole fans asking where I am well I take my daughter training on Mondays so just watched the recording. Poole rode well and deserved their result but it isn’t over yet though surely Poole can’t throw it away

Well that worked out well, didn't it?! Although Somerset have nearly won at Poole this season, so a 2 point lead may be enough.
John Scrutton
It will depend on which Kurtz turns up at the second leg
drew2
Good meeting tonight at the OTA with Pirates quicker gating skills keeping them close. I still reckon the Rebels will sneak this as in three meetings this year at Wimborne Road I think we have won one and only lost the others in last heat deciders (including Doyley's trip down the pot hole!). I think some Poole fans around us were in a state of shock at seeing some proper racing. They cheered when they didn't get 5-1'd in heat one. A few races later they were shouting for Klindt who wasn't even in that race and apparently they believed there was no outside line tonight!! Certainly watching a different meeting to me. Must be something in the water down there though as later Brady said on the mic he felt the inside of the track was bordering on dangerous. I'm sure he has ridden at Poole all season and must have seen that pot hole on bend one? Now that is dangerous! For the Rebels Doyley was superb and Jack worked so so hard for little reward. He deserved more than 7! The rest all rode hard although Rich seemed to lack speed and possibly had bike issues. First meeting I have been to in a long while that had not one single re-run or any programme changes all night. Must be a record!
