In effect Godfrey was trying to make a change, that was not because of either injury or a rider withholding his services. If it was the action of the SCB that insisted on the reinstatement of Phillips, do you not accept that part of their remit is to ensure that the current Regulations are adhered to by all promotions, including Scunthorpe?
ScunnyDan
Advantage Workington going into the 2nd leg, whenever that will be. Have to say I was looking forward to seeing Anders ride, but was shocked to see Danny there when we arrived. Fair play to Danny for turning up. Not the best of meetings for Scunny's very high standard. I believe the weather did alter track conditions which ultimately played into the Comets hands. Would like to say Scunny have the power to go through, but our reserves I have a feeling will let us down, yet again
IronScorpion
Hey Guys & Gals. Guess what I have found & who it concerns. Workington v Scunthorpe 05/08/17 Copied and pasted from the Workington Facebook page: Late on Thursday night Rob Shuttleworth informed us he was stopping riding in the SGB Championship with immediate effect. He stated that it was unaffordable for him to continue and despite many attempts to contact him to discuss the situation and offer solutions he does not wish to return the calls. Due to the team line up deadline passing we cannot replace Rob in our line up so will be using guest riders for the remainder of the season. To be fair it’s nice to see the SCB taking a stance for a change, especially against the BSPA vice chairman Its also interesting that nothing official has been released about the matter either, not from Scunthorpe or the SCB. Not quite the same scenario & Rob was not cheating to make the side stronger as any NL guest will probably have a worse average than Danny. For Danny's sake, no points means no wages. He says he still wants to help Scunthorpe but it is hurting us. He should take it on the chin, look in the mirror & stand down, similar to Shuttleworth & JPB for Sheffield. He cannot with hold his services as he would receive a 28 day ban hampering his riding for Coventry. Danny, do the right thing & stand down & concentrate on Coventry as they still have a chance of a top 4 position in the NL.

Scorpison
Phillipsr, your three latest postings just highlight what an arse hole you really are. By just coasting round showing two fingers is not taking the piss out of Rob Godfrey, it is taking the piss out of his team mates, and us paying supporters, who have actually stuck by Phillips all season hoping that he did show some signs of looking like a Speedway Rider, but week after week he just turned up and rode half a lap behind all other riders, some that have never seen our track before.] To say that he had been injured last season was in Robs thoughts when giving him the reserve ride for Scunny, not only has he ridden all this season, he was also part of our National league team possibly 6 years ago, I remember him vividly, because Phillips and Fenwick used to trundle round bringing up the rear every race, just like Phillips has done this season. In my opionion he must be really thick skinned to turn up when management and the supporters have had more than their share of him. HE IS THE WORST RIDER EVER TO HAVE BEEN ENGAGED BY SCUNTHORPE. Tunnel vision ...you’re the best example of it Godfrey tried his best to screw up others chances and it’s all back fired , Worky currently sitting second in the league , you lot have to come to us and get a win to get any further in the Championship Shield ,good luck with that one ! So young Danny probably only a couple of meetings to do so hopefully he will trundle round at the back and stick two fingers up to Godfrey as Philipsr says, just like we have Edited September 9, 2018 by Taylorj
