Its OK, Jesper told me today he's out and he will be replaced by a Russian, unless Tani turns up, as he is on the reserve list.

Tani is at Ufa and FIM press says Zorn will test his leg before practise. So I’d stay in Ufa.

Zorn is home.

Tani told me that he was not called by FIM yet.

EDIT: Seppänen is no longer the travelling race director, think it was Zakharov who does the Russian rounds and the Morris does the European rounds. There might be something related to this change.

Pretty poor not to have a proper replacement for Zorn. Reserve rider Borodin will take his place.

Tani and Bauer are in Russia. Iwema was proposed as a replacement as well. Nothing happened.

I'm still waiting for the results of the first day of the European Final, as there doesn't appear to be a decent stream or live results today. I'm also struggling to find results for the Major League in Lukhovitsy. I'll post them as soon as I have them, probably after I've snapped Warrington v Hednesford this afternoon!

No Semi Finals or Finals. From what I can gather from the results there were problems with the Ice, hence the number of fallers. I'm told Haarahiltunen has concussion, but at the moment I have no information about the other riders. Once again, Jesper's https://www.baansportfansite.nl has provided the results.

As soom as I have the results from Ufa and Lukhovitsy I'll post them

Just watched the highlights of the Kazakhstan round of the Grand Prix and must admit I was very impressed with the quality of the racing. I've never paid much attention to Ice Racing before as I've always thought of it as a Russian dominated procession where first out the traps always wins but I will be watching more from now on :)

That describes every ice speedway race I ve seen in the last 20 years.

Only passes seem to be when a Russian misses the gate.

Seems to have been a problem in Russia yesterday, with poor ice at all three meetings despite the cold. From what I can gather the ice in Moscow Region was breaking up during the meeting even though it well in the minuses, and general comments around Ufa was that it wasn't the best track they've had.

Sorry I didn't post these sooner but didn't get them all until late Sunday.
